    What i like the most about this kid is his mindset. He's so mature for his age and his approach of the game is really technicaly driven. He knows his basketball really well for a youngster. We haven't even seen his full potential yet though.

    Hakeem was one of the centers from the 90s who was capable of guarding a guard at the 3 point line for a short time, had great handling not just for a big, had a really nice shooting form and even showcased it in an all star game, had a mid game, a zone game, and you couldn't just leave him at the 3 point line like Shaq.
    Imo Hakeem was a nowadays big in the wrong era.

    I won't even cap, hands down – Wemby is my favorite young player and its not even remotely close. If he stays healthy and doesnt get injured I can easily see him joining the ranks of the best of the best. I'm talking being up there with MJ, Kobe, LeBron, Kareem. Like, in my opinion, his floor is KD but his cieling is unlimited. Hes a taller Giannis that can shoot, we've all said that Giannis is elite but doesn't really hace a 3 ball, and if Giannis had that the league would be finished. Wemby has a 3 ball, he has a jumper and he's a damn good defender, scratch that, he's a legit DPOY finalist, and has shown,Kobe-like work ethic (not the same to be clear but mans is focused, he's very much locked in)

    Everybody else preseason: Spurs are going to tank this season, chase a high draft pick. Me preseason: has no one heard about Wemby, does no one understand he could end this year leading the league in scoring and in blocks? Does no one listen to Wemby and understand how passionately he hates losing?

    Wemby will play closer to the basket later in his career when he becomes a better 3 point player he’ll have more space to drive and he’s going to get bigger and stronger

    For me, I think Wemby should take less threes (6 or 7 instead of 10 attempts) but make the threes less contested, make them good shots
