This starting to become more of a likely move for me unless he gets John Collins
Why trade Hardaway for cj when they do the same thing, cj is smaller and disappears in the last few playoffs he was in
With all the talk about next year, are we ruling out THJ and Beasely coming back? Personally, I’d like to have those guys back. Upgrade the frontcourt and get a back up PG.
CJ can come off the bench next year. He is an older vet and would be great off the bench and his career is already trending that way. He is a go to bucket and can play backup PG.
This is a nice fit, it is a short contract that we get off the books after two season, adds range, fills in some of the scoring we are missing from Ivey. He would make a great 6 man if he was willing too next year, and if not we could get a 2nd round pick for him back next year. 21.5 PPG would be nice.
I like CJ, but makes no sense for the Pistons. He is a proven solid scorer, 3pt shooter over his careeer, 20 ppg. But would he accept a role coming off the bench if asked? He is functional in a PG role if pushed. Would he be looked at as a another-term answer?
