    I would do it Portis gives us a tough front court player that we lack. Middleton if healthy can do better than any sm we have on the roster at the moment and he did win a championship as a #2 option. The draft pick is the cherry on top we get well needed defense and shot making around herro. Butler doesn’t want to be here they should consider this !

    I would rather let him walk for nothing than trade him to an Eastern Conference rival in the same division and have to have Jimmy 3-4x a year plus the playoffs until he retires. That would be a stupid trade.

    All this to miss out on a chance to draft Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, etc…I think it’s a horrible trade.

    If you’re not going to get a young potential all star like Kuminga back, expiring contracts and draft picks I don’t think it’s a smart trade, and I would rather let him walk at the end of the season.

    We never get a high lottery pick, and we’ve only won championships on the back of high lottery picks. The right move is to miss the playoffs, not to get a bunch of mid players that barely get us into the playoffs to get crushed for the sake of puck protections.

    Jimmy needs to put his acts together and come back to the player he used to be.
    ( I doubt it )… Or, The Godfather is going to make the biggest trade in MAMI HISTORY EVER!!!!!….

    It's a fair deal all things considering. Even if Kris is now injury prone, we have the wing depth to cover for him when he's not available. Portis can be our starting PF allowimg Nico & Ware to continue to be the power rotation off the bench. This deal gets us in the playoffs this year, which allows for us to keep our two future 1st round picks and allow us to go 🐳hunting in 2026-2027.
    LETS NOT FORGRT WE GOT JIMMY FOR RICHARDSON, Whiteside, & a conditional 1st rounder. Arguably we would be be getting a better deal then Philly did when we acquired him.
