The Memphis Grizzlies are knocking on the door of the NBA’s elites. But they’re a tier below those that are clearly the best at the moment. Would an unlikely trade for Deni Avdija of the Portland Trail Blazers be the missing piece to an NBA Finals contender? No sir Jake is better and has more potential keep advia where he is !!! Y trade Jake for another Jake no loss no gain Jake is a grinder and day 1 Memphis
The Grizzlies need veteran playoff experience. How does this help with that at all?? How he will do come playoff time is just as big of a question as Jake LaRavia or GG Jackson. It's a big jump as he doesn't even contribute to winning basketball in the regular season even. Not to mention be doesn't even consistently space the floor and we NEED that
You guys definitely donβt actually watch him. He certainly isnβt what Grizz need if Aldama is healthy. You wanna get smoked by the Rockets so bad Joe. why?
The starting 3 has to be a super athlete. We just got obliterated by Amen Thompson
The real list:
Jerami Grant(too old)
Keldon Johnson(too short)
Kyle Kuzma(canβt shoot)
Deandre Hunter(mystery)
Rui Hachimura(unavailable)
Cam Johnson(expensive, injury prone?)
Patrick Williams(mid)
Miles Bridges(crazy)
John Collins(bigman)
Andrew Wiggins(ew)
Michael Porter Jr(bad fit)
Obi Toppin(unproven)
Brandon Ingram(defense)
What the team needs is available on the injured reserve list GG Jackson and Vince Williams
All the trade talk is great but it has me thinking, do we need a wing? Why not a scoring guard(Clarkson),or a legit lob threat? This team is just so deep positional wise.
AMEN THOMPSON THIS IS GOOD OR BAD
Jake Laravia has become the best white small forward in the planetβ¦
IF ME I TAKE BRANDON INGRAM THE VETERAN PLAYMAKING DEFENSE THE KILLER MIDRANGE. FOR A DEEP PLAYOFFS BIG MOMENTS RUNπ₯π₯π₯π₯πͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπ€π€π€π€π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―β β β β β
Terrance Mann or Bruce Brown
We might have to settle for Obi Toppin.. Iβll cry the saltiest tears if we keep this team past the deadline just cuz we looked good vs the tanking teams
I still have to listen today episode but what about Jarace Walker from Indiana Pacers?

Joe is tripping, that dude is not needed
A physical enforcer who rebounds and sets picks well
I was hoping that GG Jackson would be that missing piece. Most players don't seem to want to be here in Memphis.
I like the idea of swapping Smart for Bruce Brown. The salaries somewhat match. Brown would bring proven playoff experience along with lock down defensive capabilities.
Victor Wembanyama "All star votes" 2.2 million (his stats this year) 25ppg 10rebs 4blks and 4assists
Ja Morant "All star votes" 430,000 ππ€£(his stats this year) 21ppg 7asst π―
Damichael, don't underestimate him just because he was moved out of the starting lineup. He actually played more minutes than any of the starters. Portland needed to showcase Grant to generate trade interest, but it seems they've decided to move on from him. That's why Deni was brought back into the lineup, and since then, he's been averaging 16.0 – 6.6 – 3.4 with 41% 3PT and 49% overall
You also mentioned he's not an elite defender, but he's excellent in perimeter 1v1, holding guards to just 29% shooting from three. He's even capable of guarding some centers when playing as a small-ball center (15% of his minutes).
He's incredibly versatile. According to CraftedNBA, he's ranked as the most versatile player in the entire league (1 out of 500 players).
Plus, he's one of the fastest forwards in the league.
He's highly durable and rarely misses games, if not covid he played 96% of the games.
Joe, the correct pronunciation is Avdi-YA.
I appreciate your kind words about Deni. Honestly, I think he'd be a perfect fit in Memphis. He's already won over fans with both the Wizards and the Blazers, and he's known as a locker room glue guy. From a basketball standpoint, he'd be a major upgrade and could elevate Memphis to legitimate NBA Finals contention, at least on paper.
That said, I'd love to see him stay with the Blazers for a couple more years. It's better for his growth to take on a leadership role now that he has the chance, rather than settling into a third option role in Memphis.
We already have Deni on this team, his name is GG Jackson. NEXT. π€¦π½ββοΈ
I donβt wanna trade LaRavia if we donβt have to tbh. He knows heβs a role player. He does all the little things. He just needs to realize that he is able to score. He passes up some open 3s when heβs a good shooter. Also I couldβve sworn he had some sort of touch around the basket but maybe not.
Weβre not making a trade for a wing unless itβs a HUGE upgrade. Weβre not making the trade unless itβs someone like Cam Johnson or better.
Rockets in 5 is crazy. A lot of those games were close. As much as we hate on Jenkins, he can make adjustments.
Are we gonna ignore the fact that Aldama was locking up Wemby?
Who needs haters when you got these two?
GG is back teams about to really take off cause i believe gg is the next star on the team
We are almost healthy. We could use another big but GG Smart and vince will make this team elite.
Great show guys
