Over his last 4 games Russell Westbrook averaged 22.7 points, 9 rebounds and 7.7 assists on 51% shooting. Coming into the season nobody thought Russ would have the level of impact but yet his fit with Denver has been better than could have ever expected.
The chemistry between Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokic already looks like they’ve been playing together for years. Playing alongside someone as cerebral as Jokic, who has an elite ability to see the floor, is something Russ clearly values. When he makes cuts, he knows Jokic will likely find him. Whether it’s pick-and-rolls, inverted pick-and-rolls, or perfectly timed backdoor cuts, their two-man game has quickly become elite.
