I can't agree with KD coming back to Golden State. It's a crap shoot. KD is still one of the best killers in the NBA but he's also still injury prone. 2017 and 2018 were magical seasons. But 2019 is when injury derailed their chip dreams. Steph is 3 years shy of 40. How long can he still play for 35 minutes a night? Talent that helped get ring number 4 was sent packing. Jordan Poole is averaging 20 a night on a bum Washington squad. DiVincenco almost put up 40 on GS recently. GS dumped him but replaced him with….who? Then they let Klay walk. One half of the Splash Brothers? Again, who did you replace him with? Buddy Heild? Look at Buddy Heild's stats for this season and they're very similar to Klay Thompson's stats in Dallas.
Why? Because both teams use both players almost the exact same way. I get it, they were hoping Heild could do for them what Klay did for the team to get those 4 rings. But Heild is not Klay. I like Steve Kerr but there comes a point when you have to start look at the coaching. You start the season at 12 – 3 but pass the half way point you're a .500 team? A play in team? AGAIN? How does a team that literally redefined how offenses function in the NBA, shooting the lights out to go 73 – 9 at their height, now struggle to average 100 pts a game?
The only trade warriors need to make is trade Steve Kerr….. Just pay him some money even if he wants…. Just make him leave …..
