Gui Santos Is a MAJOR Weapon For Warriors – Does Kerr REALIZE?

If you want to make Stephs job easier surround him with athletic 6"6 to 6"9 players thats what they did last night. The point is to make it so steph doesnt have do as much. I dont care if steph has 10-15 rebounds thats not his job.
Even if the talent of the players may not be as high the defensive effort of players that size will cause problems to opposing teams. All Steph needs to do is knock down shots and pass.
None of this rocket science. Gui Santos is listed at 6"8 on basketball reference. He needs to be higher on the rotation and too be honest i would be fine with him starting.
He is podz but taller and has the weight to cause issues and actually play defense…plus shoot.
But again the resson why i dont have hope is Kerr. Steph and dray are also part of the problem because they are allowing this.
But one thing im happy about is leadership im sure they are the ones who are telling those 3 no trades. That there not giving up there future, and im happy about that.
Edit: in the off-season i would sign gui long term, TJD is staying, sign kuminga. Im fine with trading moody and podz if it means we get a taller shooting guard then steph. Plus if we get a big in the draft, also would sign Pat Spencer as back up guard.
Always liked GUI since we drafted him just like Jk. The only way out of this is to give Gui a huge rôle . Start him a the 3 put wiggins at the 2 .instead of Hield Schoorder curry disaster closing Line up. We can Curry, wiggins,Gui, Kuminga,Dryamond. Thats how you go Small .

We know as soon as Draymond comes back Santos will never even sniff more than 5 minutes in a blowout. Kerr reminds me of the 49ers coach Shanahan, stubborn and stuck in their ways.
Call me delusional but the warriors are still the top dogs. The regular season means nothing. We can still beat anyone in the west in a 7 game series. The top 5 seeds in the west are all frauds
GS front office is trash. They traded Durant bc of Draymond. They traded Klay for Pod. And where is Nico Mannion and James Wiseman? At least Dray averages 8pts per.
When things are working , count on Kerr to screw it up. Santos needs to take advantage of PT because he will be riding pine when JK and PODZ comes back.

They are as bad as their record says they are. The worst part about it they are doing it with far more talent than most teams with poor records. Which is another strike against this team. Kerr is fundamentally flawed is more ways than one. And this team will be a reflection of him not the talent level on the team. They will never have a winning streak I am certain the rest of this season. They are what they are. Ya Steph can overcome the flaws here and there, but the weight is just too much for any superstar to overcome. It would be like the Warriors added another superstar just by taking Kerr out the loop. But that won't happen. So lottery here we come.
Steph and Wiggins were great, but Buddy really won us the game. You try to avoid that, but its true nonetheless
Correct starting lineup:
Steph, wigs, JK, Draymond, Looney
Correct bench:
Podz, Gui, slo-mo, TJD, Schroeder
Situational: QP when we need a true 7 footer who can space the floor (his defense will only get better with reps)
GP2: I love GP, but his durability is an issue. So put him around 10-15 minutes a night for a sudden defensive disruption and change in play style. This protects him for when you need him the most.
Buddy just needs to score 18 + points a game. When ever he does the Dubs win

Gui has been with the warriors for a few yrs now and when i saw him play in the garbage times he stood out. He looked dam good, but just like with Kuminga Steve hasn't a clue what he has.
Maybe time to trade Curry to Dallas. 🙂

Fire Kerr, have Terry Stotts coach this team and hire back Mike Brown as defensive coach. Put a line-up of Curry, Wiggins, Kuminga, Gui Santos (stretch 4) and TJD…Warriors are winning the championship…yes i took out Green…bench Shroeder, Hield, Moody, Green, Looney, mix in Spencer, GP2 as spark plug off the bench like how Ty Jerome to the Cavs and you've got a winning team. Warriors had 24 point lead with the big line up and lost it when he put in the 3 and 4 guard line-ups. Good thing Curry went off and Hield hit shots and this would have been another L for the Warriors.

Looney began the 4th quarter by destroying a sizable lead again!! Happens every game, for 3 straight years and no one will say anything. Looney is negative in plus minus every game. Looney ranks 15th in plus minus on his team. Looney is the ultimate rally killer!!!

💯in agreement with you JP. Insightful and right on point. I was shocked that Steve Kerr went with a 3 guard lineup at the closing of the game. Given the fact the first team with a bigger lineup was so successful. I am not a hater of Kerr but he makes $17.5 M to figure this out. His tendencies are so calculated. Try a bigger lineup at closing Kerr! Are you listening and looking at the tapes?

The most surprising stat is that the Warriors only won the 1st quarter. Always like Gui, he and Slow-Mo should get more minutes going forward because size works. Gui and Kyle are good passers, good defenders and good big bodies. We need run of wins ASAP

U dont have to be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon to know TALL guys are better at Basketball.. so what is Kerr's problem?
U drubs must only watch the warriors…look at some of the 'winning' teams and youll see what difference COACHING makes. Other team TEAMS have TALL, fast, strong, athletic players that can SCORE, even if they're ROOKIES… the warriors COACHES or GM doesnt have or ALLOW that , plus it seems they dont do basic basketball DRILLS. . Layups, free throws, passing, midrange , box out, crashing the boards..because the warriors Dont do any of that !! They just pass the ball to Steph and PRAY, hoping he's only double covered and makes the shot from never – never land. What kinda 'game-plan' is that?

What I love about Gui Santos is that whenever the ball goes up, he goes towards hoop for rebound, something that Kuminga does not like to do.
