Joel Embiid will miss an additional 7-10 days after experiencing swelling in his left knee after going through an on-court workout yesterday. That means Embiid will miss a stretch of games that include the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

I'm not a sixers fan, but at this point in the season it seems to me the sixers need to prioritize keeping their pick this year.
What an unbelievable season. Even our rookie of the year had a season ending injury. Can we at least get everyone else back healthy. I didn't expect KJ to be out this long too. The issue is more than just Embiid. The fact the Caleb Martin, KJ Martin are out as well. It's like every piece on the team that can help us hold things down is out. Couple that with Nurse's inability to run good offense is just crazy.
Can we please trade this man ! Let’s just start over and do it the right way !!!

feeling sympathy for Embiid? this guy gets paid 1/3 of the salary cap for sitting on his ass. ruined his knees by playing like a shooting guard and now the team has to pay the price because they were stupid enough to extend him and sign another guy with dust instead of cartillage in his knees. have sympathy for guys like Maxey that lose another year of real development to this garbage. or Yabu. or MCCain. But not the overpaid social media troll. he is the architect of his own downfall. its time for the process to end.
For everybody hammering Embiid, what does that do for now and the future? Without Jojo this roster shoud be good enough to hold down a 7/8 seed securely. So whats the plan when Embiids gone. Im sure everyone who wants him gone has another plan, what is it? Build around Maxey and McCain? Thats laughable. I guess its back to tanking for the next 5 years while wasting Maxey and McCain away while also trying to regain a shit ton of draft picks we don't have. The problem this whole time and has been and will be is ownership/front office
Embiid needs to sit out the rest of the season..get healthy, and figure out what's going on!
The question is whether he will ever play again. 2 knee surgeries already—a third could just end his ability to play. Even if he comes back , it will be as a perimeter shooter… and, he will need help defending in the paint just like Brooke Lopez, Al horford, Kevin love, knicks k. Porzenez.
Only hope is to get into the play in and have Embiid for a playoff run like Miami did.

Embiid needs to sit the rest of the year and we prioritize removing that top 6 pick protection. I wouldn’t blow it up until i strike out on finessing that top pick in the draft AND see if Embiid is really done next season

Pacers fan of 40 yrs (too young to remember 76ers last title in late May 1983 as an early 80s baby), but feel for 76ers fan as Philly one of the best sports cities in the world and I always wish Indy had as many diehards like myself as Philly does (we are diehard basketball for sure though).
From a far it never made sense to me giving Embiid 4yrs 200-300 million when he’d be 31-35 in the Playoffs for those contracted years and he’s missed nearly half of the games played for 76ers since drafted in his and that was in his 20s!
Also didn’t make sense to give PG (who I’m a fan of) 4 yrs 210 million when in the Playoffs for that contract he’ll be 35-38! Aside from LeBron, Kareem, MJ, Durant, Curry (and a few of the other all time greats) no one is worth that much money at that age especially when they have an injury past!
If I was a 76ers fan now I’d be hoping to win no more then 10 games the rest of the way and PRAY for lottery luck (20-37% chance to move into the top4 if they finish 6th to 9th worst record).
Need be cheering for Blazers to finish with more wins than them, Bulls, Nets, etc etc! Worst case scenario would be to lose 2025 draft pick to OKC bc it’s 7-10 in loaded draft!
PS “The Process” works if 76ers simply drafted well! Passed on so many dope players!

Embiid career is basically over. He will never be who he was.
He had a secondary injury a minor one that you recovers from and as soon as he puts his knee through anything rigorous it in flames
