It seems Spurs plan to tank again this season. With Tre Jones, Chris Paul and Champanioe on the field in the same time, there is basically no defense at all. Barnes is not strong in defense as well. Even Wemby play lazily in the second half. Spurs can get 3rd or 4th pick if they are lucky enough. Great strategy of tanking.
This new generation of fair weather Spurs fans is tragic. The last few games have admittedly been difficult to watch in 2nd half but not for lack of effort. Everyone is playing hard but not together. Ball movement has been stagnant allowing defense to set and although offensive rebounds are improved, we are abandoning 2nd and 3rd attempts on misses causing us to have to run ourselves ragged in transition. If we have the ball, they can’t score and we can try again. That alleviates some transition. It’s dire for us to commit to following our man on the play or our own misses for rim cleanup. Tighter defense as well and we’d have taken each of these games. Let’s get it! GSG 🖤🩶🖤

reason Wemby is in an offensive slump is the heavy workload on defense. Without legit perimeter defenders, he’s constantly pressured to guard not just centers but also wings blowing by our guys. It’s a tough situation all around. Need 3 and D wings desperately!
