Hornets are undersized, their only 7-footer had 4 fouls halfway through the 2nd and Gafford was killing them. I thought the gameplan was to keep posting up and attacking relentlessly instead of going for Spencer iso's and random 3s, but I clearly don't know ball.
Klay has been trash now for the majority of the games this season. Bad decisions on last second passing when driving and missing wide open shots happens too often
Kidd is clueless. And before you know it, 5 seasons pass by and the Mavs will have a powerhouse roster but will still be "figuring it out".

The coaching staff needs to be better in running offensive plays, Spencer is usually playing hero ball late cause there's no play being run, just ISO. No way Klay only attempted 5 shots this non Luka game.
Whatever happened to running action to make sure you take a shot with about 32 seconds left at the end of a period (especially at the end of the game) so the team normally has 2 shots to 1? The Mavs instead pounded the ball to eliminate that opportunity several times this game, including at the end when needed options were eliminated. Coaching.

Klay got to go..or bench him
The team shot 20% from 3.Watched the ball getting rebounded in coutch time.Stupid TO's .Bad shot selection by most guy's.THE guys have to excecute the gameplan and make good decisions.Most of us are not even able to coach a highschool team but somehow we know what a nba coach is doing

Not sure why we are surprised or disappointed. Without Luka this team is not a playoff team. Simply as we have said all year. These guys are just plain inconsistent. No way should Mavs loose to Hornets. Irving can't be the #1 man for a championship team. He is a great #2 man with Luka. Liv too injury prone. PJ just no shows or very solid (Inconsistent) playing weak D. SD same as PJ either good or awful. Kidd terrible. Now the question we must ask? Do we need to trade Klay, Gafford, Maxi, OMax, Morris & Powell???? If we can get with Jazz and get back, LM, Sexton, Wessler, Fliposki.

Am I the only person think that Naji will be useless in the playoffs? His dribbling is actually bad when he faces physical defense and then he would lost the ball or pass to nobody. Not to mention his defense and rebounding is much worse than DJJ, nobody is afraid of his help defense at the rim and he doesn’t fight for rebounds. Another thing is that Klay and Dinwiddie have been too terrible to let the mavs win a game. Klay is so hesitant that he make a lot of horrible passes. Dinwiddie creates zero offense and uses most of 24 seconds dribbling. I can’t believe that they ruined Gafford’s career-best games.
Not sure why they can’t hit the easy button or spam what had been working all game when trying to get out of these scoring droughts. I guess not trying to make it easy and hone themselves for playoffs…if they can’t get that far

Unbelievable/Unforgivable loss, vs. d’ Hornets. It’s even worst than the 9-wins NOLA loss coz that 1 had a chance & cotroversial non-call. Mavs Toyed w/ their own food too much & deserved this loss, which I wont even call tough, but worst loss. So much embarassed as a Mavs fan right now that I had to change my Mavs gear packed prev. Profile pic with new one. And it’s a toy, yes. Coz that what Mavs thought f this game today. Toyed with it. Haaaays pathetic. Had to stay up late past 3am in GMT+8 timezone to watch and support this game with weird super early schedule G. Wasted another Gafford monster game. It’s on the 2 stars veterans Kai and Klay this time, for not being clutch when needed. Well, will just hope, they feel like playing better and more challenging for them if vs top tier teams like Wolves, OKC again and Defending champs Celticd on next 3games. Goodluck with that tough week ahead, Since they don’t take seriously, lottery teams like this. No blue heart today, they dont deserve flowers. 😡🤬💔
