I did read that the lakers are not interested in trading rui and if they considered it it would have to be for a complete game changer. I assume like including him to get like a Markenen. Or someone of that caliber.
But the report said they see Rui as a peace they want to keep for their future. I mean he does a lot of the same things Bron does except for play make. And is strong and if became a second option and had plays ran for him would avg 20-25 easy with probably 5-8 rebounds.
Wood doesn't fit their roster anymore. Jaxe is okay but Koloko is better in my opinion and he has shown to get better with his limited time and minutes

Absolutely agree with you! I feel the same way about Rui but somehow he keeps getting put in trade ideas. Rui is one of my favorites and they can not win without him.

aside from a big man like kessler, i think the lakers would benefit from having a self-creating guard from the bench. If the lineup would e reaves, christie, bron, rui, and ad starting, then the lakers would have kessler, hayes, dfs, vincent, knecht, and others. the bench has no self sufficient scorer that can create for themself and i think the lakers would need a microwave like player
