The Golden State Warriors are facing a pivotal moment in their franchise history. After suffering their worst home loss in the Steve Kerr era, a 40-point drubbing by the Celtics, it’s clear that changes need to be made. With a 21-21 record, the Warriors are hovering around .500 and looking like a play-in team at best.
The question on everyone’s mind is: Are the Warriors better or worse than their record suggests? According to Dan Devone, they’re not even average. The Western Conference is dominated by young, talented teams. The Warriors, with their aging core, simply can’t match up personnel-wise with the top eight teams in the conference. The Warriors suck!!
Fire Kerr. The Warriors are toast for the next 3 years and the making of this roster has Kerr's fingerprints all over it – We have players that no other teams want except for Steph and JK. We only have players that would only be tradeable to bottom feeder teams based on their current salary: This includes: Draymond, Hield, Moody and these guys on contract for 2 more years after this year. Basically, these guys being paid more than their production for their salary. Only good news is we have expiring contracts on: GPII, Looney, Waters, Schroder. As for new players: TJD, Podz, Santos. These guys would only be garbage time minute guys on any other top NBA team. As for JK, he should be on 5 year contract after this season. He is the next best player on this team after Steph. The season is over as for any real playoff run. Bring up Post and Knox. Play the young guys along with Steph, Wiggins, / JK. Only tradable asset for his value is Wiggins and Wiggins is a duplication of what JK does. Trade Wiggs for a true center.
Team is mid as hell.
