  1. 0:01 1st question: "Bonjour Victor, it's been a few days since you are in Paris and showed a little bit of your country to your teammates, but I have a question, since you have arrived with the Spurs which we know there has been a French historic, did you find some of these French trace in the franchise?"

Wemby: "A little bit, some experiences, some anecdotes, the Spurs already played in France so there is people that lived that, so yeah those kind of things."

0:40 2nd question: "Coming in to France, obviously it involves the French public but also the Francophones throughout the world and notably in Africa, what kind of message would you like to give, as we know you have some roots notably from DRC, but also there is Pascal Siakam one of the most important players from Indiana, what do you think of this player?"

Wemby: "… When was the last time he played for the national team? Did he play? No? Well, yeah Pascal Siakam I think he's a great player and has the potential to grow basketball in his country and even African basketball in general. For me it would be.. developing basketball are part of my projects closest to my heart and also to develop it in Africa would be something in the long term that would interest me a lot."

1:56 3rd question: "Six months ago you were here with the French team for the Olympic games, you comeback again here in the Accor Arena, is there anything left from the Olympics games in the arena that you have seen and what does it do to you to meet this place again?"

Wemby: "Yes there is still some decorations in the corridors from the Olympic games. And yes it's a pleasure to come back, but not only for the Olympic games, of course the Olympics were the last time but I've played here before and this place is important for me."

2:35 4th question: "You were saying to us in Nanterre two days ago, "There is a game to be played" Did you make the switch, we look at your face, more concentrated, are you in competitive mode now?

Wemby: "More and more yes, we are at the eve of the match, we are at the training of course we are in professional mode so it's just the good way to approach our responsibilities, if I look more serious it's because we just got done training and I'm tired [laughs] but I'm always concentrated in the match.

3:20 5th question: "I don't know if you had time to see a little bit of what's going on in France but there are a lot of French sportspersons that have signed a tribune this morning to complain about the possible drop in budgets for the French sports, I imagine that it is important for you as well and that if the budgets drops that should worry you as well right?"
Wemby: "Of course, I wasn't aware for the tribune but, I will inform myself on it, it's very important for me of course, for me having lived, done sports, multiple sports in France, in many different environments we can not overrate the importance of sports for the youth."

4:14 6th question: "Tell us how important it is for you to perform in those two games here in Paris in your home."
Wemby: "It's very important, like every other games. One of the difficulties in the NBA and what's interesting is the successions of games but we have to be as much concentrated for each of them, the state of mind in which we enter those games, after multiple games during a season, we can't think two games ahead, we are always concentrated for the next game, and we even forget the last one very rapidly, so even if it's in an incredible context for me, my responsibility is towards my team and my coaches, and I'm 100% concentrated in everything that is tactics."

10:36 7th question: "So you are at your domicile, personally I don't think I've ever seen that many Wembanyama's jerseys in the streets of Paris. You, do you feel the enthusiasm/vibes differs from the one in the United States, do you feel there is more enthusiasm and how do you deal with it?"
Wemby: "Of course I feel a different energy, but I'm still waiting on how it's going to be the day of the games, around the arena, but at the end I haven't gone out a lot in Paris so I didn't had the opportunity to see it from myself, but yes it's a bit different from the last times we know that now it's a different fanbase that waits their whole life or the whole year for this opportunity to see an NBA game, so yeah it's different."

  2. Shout out to Kirks Goldsberry he must love being able to do this and travel to see the Spurs playing overseas. Love his articles and stuff on the Ringer
