If anyone has watched the Spurs regularly this year, they know that CP3 has served as a player-coach for this team. I'm not even using that term lightly. He is constantly coaching the players up in game. Like stopping them midcourt during breaks and spending a minute or two instructing them.
I'm sure the Spurs would love to have him stick around for another year or two but not sure if Paul wants to be away from his family for 2 more seasons. He could surely step in and replace Pop although that role is likely going to Mitch Johnson or, if he gets a HC job soon, then it'll likely be Manu.

Don’t know how, But San Antonio needs to get CP3 a ring before he retires. He deserves it more than anybody.

I can’t say I’m a fan of cp but the spurs were genius for getting him. They have a future first ballot hall of famer in the starting lineup who is like an extra coach with his IQ and 20 yrs of experience, who can also be one of the guys/big brother type of figure
