He just became the 3rd youngest player to 8k points behind only Lebron and KD. Next month he will be the youngest player to 1k 3s made by over a year younger than Luka was when he set the mark. And he’s on pace for a top 5 3 point shooting season ever. For the month of January he’s 2nd in scoring behind only SGA, the only difference being the refs finally started giving him some calls
By then, Dilly will be in year 4. Setup for a scary backcourt duo. At worst, Dilly could be a 6th man micro scorer like Jamal Crawford. Except he will actually have the ability to get AT LEAST, 6 assists per game. By then we just need to find a legit two way wing starish player. So if that means trading all of: Randle, McDaniels and Gobert to buuld up either our assets and or cap space to get one, so be it. I am not a believer in traditional centers that cannot at least bare minimum get up 2 threes per game on average to keep defenses somewhat honest. To open up the paint for Dilly and Ant a couple seasons from now. Myles Turner is the mold i am talking about. But he will be too old to want to get by that point. But just that arch type of center. Perfect blend of offense and defense.
Even with his size and strength deficiencies he does so much on offense that is neutralizes his defense. He can shoot, pass and penetrate equally well which opens up the entire court for Ant and everyone else. Conley's a great veteran but he's much more limited. Wolves are going to need heavy doses of Rob D and the 20+ point McDaniels if they're going to get a decent seed in the playoffs.
Give Terrance Shannon jr a fair chance, he got drafted so low because of rape accusations (proved false) and was a top 3 scorer in all of ncaa bball and averaging 35 or sum in g league
Idc about mike conleys locker room presence, his alleged ability to "run an offense", or anything about him. He is playing like shit, period. We are a .500 team. I didn't think dilly was ready but he is.
