Kevin O’Connor (Yahoo! Sports) On Golden State Warriors:
“There is a responsibility on keeping the franchise in a good space and good spot when it comes to where we leave this thing when we’re done,” Curry said last week. This public messaging prompted me to write an article last week with the headline: “Should Stephen Curry move on from the Warriors?” But the flip side of this conversation is: “Should the Warriors move on from Steph and Draymond?” What happens if a team with a war chest of draft picks makes an offer? If team owner Joe Lacob doesn’t at least listen, he’s doing this franchise and its future a massive disservice — even if the fans rip him for even thinking about moving on.”

  1. Steph hasn't show any decline…His minutes are down. Plus there is no other scoring outside of him, its really hard to do anything when the other team doesn't respect the players around you.

  2. They should blow it up… but wait for the off-season to make that decision and see if they can get the help they need… if they can’t you still have options

  3. dude are you taking your meds? you have a very pessimistic view on the warriors. you feel like you are a low key hater. trade steph for who? stop smoking that shit.

  4. What's this guy on?? Steph Paulo & wags ain't touching dem boys in the land or dem boys in Boston for that matter…the issue is neither Steph or Draymond will move the needle for any of these teams…Steph is washed up & Draymond hasn't been the same since the cavs beat them that year…

  5. Great broadcast as always! I've been following the Warriors for a long time—back to the days of Rick Barry at the old Cow Palace—so it's been quite a journey. I really appreciate your perspective on the current state of the team, and I completely agree that it might actually be the right time to consider some tough decisions for the future.

Draymond’s leadership and experience are invaluable, but as you pointed out, age is starting to catch up with him. He’s still a defensive force, but going up against younger, bigger players is getting tougher. I agree that it could actually be beneficial for him to join a true championship contender where his experience could make a real impact. Same goes for Kevon and Andrew—they still have a lot to offer a younger, faster team.

As for Steph, he’s still the best shooter in the game, and while it might not be fair to keep him on a non-contending team, he’s achieved so much already that he could be the perfect veteran leader to guide the next generation of Warriors.

Your point about shooting is spot on—games are won and lost by whether or not the ball goes in the hoop. It’s frustrating to see so many missed opportunities, especially when defense and execution are solid. Bringing in a proven shooting coach could be a game-changer, and who better to learn from than Steph himself? His dedication and work ethic are legendary, and tapping into that could really elevate the team’s performance.

Thanks again for your great insights and engaging content. Looking forward to the next broadcast! Keep up the excellent work!

  6. The only acceptable outcome if the warriors front office doesn't go all in is get Stepp to San Antonio with Wemby for the full rebuild…………….book it fam!!!!!! The only acceptable place I would like to see Steph go then corpse Steph at 42 can be a 3 point specialist only in Charlotte for the extra twilight!!

  7. The 1st problem is erroneous thinking Steph and Draymond are a package duo. No. Steph is still amazing….Draymond is the problem….. Draymond has always been the problem. Flip Draymond for cash and picks. Go get JP back and grab Miles Turner. Resign Kumigua and we are good. We may have to flip Wiggins because he is supposed to be a number two scorer but he has always lack the consistent aggression. Post, Kuminga and Poole are the future. Steph deserves to be surrounded by players that love him and are capable getting it done without sabotaging him in his later years like Draymond.

  8. No bro.. they got already rings.
They just gonna enjoy what they have now. Unlike lebron hes been fk up alyear none playoff caliber team. Its only davis he had. Even he still dominate all teams.. just too hard for lebron and HE IS THE GOAT.. curry will retire on gsw. He stay there is must..

  9. You look unwell, and now you sound unwell. You're in your parents basement, take off the broadcaster headset. An Op Ed isn't a trade rumor, Steph isn't washed, you're not credible.

  10. Trading Steph wouod be a huge mistake. Fans would leave and follow the team he is traded to. That's reality.
