  1. the amount of ego this fella has in amazing… Aday has been a confident kid all his life. Watch the USA vs Spain final U17 world championship. His confidence went down with your coaching. He is the best prospect in this roster by far. Play him more!!

  2. To All the naysayers who probably had good reason to question coach Cronin’s harsh words for his players, in hindsight I think they may have been a tipping point in this season!
The guys have shown a lot more toughness, effort and overall grit. They’ve played much better offensively and that goes to making shots and it having a ripple effect on all the players to keep their heads up after misses and to just keep taking open shots! Confidence breeds confidence and it’s showing! For example the 2 missed 3 by Trent Perry even though he missed, the next open look on the same possession after he had just missed a 3 he got another chance and without hesitation he launched it. Both shots were rebounded by Sky Clark, they were huge.
Little things here and there, intangible things like not hanging your head after a missed assignment or missed shot or bad foul is a lesson to grow from!
This is probably premature, but this team looks better than the team that beat Oregon at Oregon, beating Arizona (neutral site but in Arizona) beating Gonzaga on a neutral site and almost pulled off a win against North Carolina at a neutral site. Bruin fans as great as we are don’t travel like other fans, we don’t get a packed Pauley Pavilion like the majority of Division 1 schools! It sucks but facts are facts!
Did they get overconfident, or start looking at their ranking, there excellent showing in the first part of the season, in the tougher, more physical and demanding road schedule of B1G Ten League? I’d say that may have factored in to them getting complacent and not playing to their full potential. And a little side note, the Woman’s undefeated dominant #1 team might be another reason for them to say look at how well the ladies are representing us, we need to step up our game and try to be the first school to win a National Championship by both the men’s and women’s team.
The men have a long way to go to even have a realistic chance. But stranger things have happened, first 4 in to the final four after losing their last 3 conference games, beating Michigan State, BYU, #14 Cinderella Abilene Christian, Alabama and Michigan before losing on a last second half court shot to Gonzaga!
Great game after possibly blowing a 12 point lead and a less confident team loses a road game like that, especially considering their leading scorer didn’t play and their most experienced player, a guy who showed incredible confidence at the end of last season, got cramps and missed the last 8-10 minute! And beating your arch rival after all those things I just mentioned, huge confidence booster!
