  1. Spurs don't have so many assets to be a good trade partner. Yes, they have a ton of first round picks, but Kings are not on rebuilding mode, they need players and players with experience that they can immediately contribute to the cause. I can see make a trade with another team (like Nets) or involve a third or even a fourth team.

  2. If Fox stays that’s cool but if he leaves 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh well we will be fine.

  3. Even though I love Fox but if he wants the super max trade him. He will put us in a position like how Bradley Beal had the wizards. He ain’t no Luka and he won’t take us to the finals

  4. Out of all the sports teams in the world, I pick the kings, Raiders, A’s as my ride and die. I was not a smart six-year-old. Wisdom from someone in their 40s.

  5. Fox been here 8 years he’s earned the right to move on. His play recently suggests he’s already left the Kings it’s just not official.

  6. Sacramento is very small market. As a diehard Kings fan it’s hard to accept the implications of this. The owner GM coaches are doing the best they can with the hand they have been dealt.

  7. Get the Atlanta picks n 2031 minisota pick from the Spurs and k Johnson n Vasel for fox n I'm on board

  8. Eh, I don’t think you can really blame Fox OR the Kings for this situation. The fact is, he’s not good enough to be the number-one player on a contending team, even if the front office does EVERYTHING right. But he’s a perfect number two, who will often get to take the last shot in big games, and easily be worth a supermax contact for a team like the Spurs who have a future MVP on a rookie deal.

This is a mature, classy way to end his time as a King. Fox gives Sacramento enough time and leverage to recoup maximum value from the Spurs—or competing team. The alternative would’ve been signing that extension and spending the prime of his career in stasis like Bradley Beal on the Wizards. The clock ticks down fast with small, athletic guards.

  9. You already knew that once Rich Paul was in town? It was all bad, whether fox wants to admit that he doesn’t want out of Sacramento? The writing was on the wall. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out? Fox and Rich Paul talked it over the summer about him wanting out of Sacramento?

  10. Great breakdown as always Matt! Fox has been my favorite player since the day he stepped on the court. Would hate to b see him go, but at the end of the day I'm a Kings fan, and hopefully they get it right like you speak about.

  11. I'm not for it but if you're gonna do it, get it right. don't pull a twolves and trade a katt for randle type trade.

  12. YES!!! PLEASE GET THIS FRAUD OUT OF SACRAMENTO! He got 8 years to carry Kings to the playoffs he never did. Sabonis and Mike Brown carried us to the playoffs.

  13. How long before ownership starts to wonder if Monte and Wes are the problem? As said they handled the whole Mike Brown fox situation horribly. And they have continued to struggle with roster construction. Do they get another year or do we have to wonder if it's time to make a change there.

  14. Be critical of Monte for not stepping in front of the cameras but not for his moves.

Halliburton for sabonis, Keegan, Malik monk, hiring MB, firing MB, demar.

Missed on Davion it happens and we will see with Carter. The other 2nd rd pick stuff Sasha etc does not matter in big picture.

1st gm to get kings back to playoffs.

I think we all know including deaaron this team as built is a 50 win team. That’s it can’t get to next level without a better all star.

  15. I’m gonna just say it because it’s obvious and you all know it deep down because it’s just visibly obvious if just watch –
DEVIN CARTER IS NOT AN NBA PLAYER .

Yes he can hit a few lucky threes if he is wide open or jacks up enough he will hurt some .. but overall he simply is not nba caliber.

Too small , too slow , bad shooting form , and can’t even get shots off near rim or anywhere except deep bombs

Also his super high shot is pure trash

  16. Couldn’t build around Tyreke, Boogie, Halliburton, Fox…Sabonis will be next to leave.
Honestly, I don’t blame them. Fox gave great years to a bad franchise.

  17. I went back and streamed half the 3rd and 4th quarter to see what fans were talking about.

Fox's energy and body languae was absolutely terrible. Not once did i see Him play make for any of his teammates. When He was on the floor it was a my turn your turn dynamic with Sabonis cleaning up the mess.

When you make 200 million dollars and the team your on has the highest winning percentage in January and thats how you perform?

Im sorry Matt but right now Fox is THE problem. Hes the cancer. Hes the arrogant miserable rich old man scrooge that is incapable of being happy so blames everyone else.

That was an absolute brutal foul he made right before the 3rd ended too. The player missed both free throws but that was a brain dead terrible foul and He just shrugged it off like He didnt care.

If Kings can get Castle and picks or another prospect they should one million percent do it. Castle is an absolute beast.

Its time. Their actually isnt a better time in the past couple years then now. The entire team all rallied behind Christie becoming coach and was playing with great energy.

Devin Carter looked great before Fox came back and now He looks the countless others that become invisible and lost on the bench. His development will exponentially improve with Fox gone.

The time is definitely now. This chapter is over. Fox attitude and body language is terrible. The team absolutely rallied in that 4th quarter when He got taken out. The players seem to be all rallying against HIM.

Even when hed shake his teammates hands it was empty with nothing behind it. Im not even convinced he cared if they won last. He just wanted his 30 points. I dodht see him create one easy opportunity for his teammates. Not one

  18. A guaranteed first round exit would be nice knowing fox only had a first round exit in 8-9 years
