At the end of the day. They are both wrong. It was clear months ago it wasn't going to work out. They should have done what other teams usually do is by just sitting him or send him away until a trade happens. But this war of Petty is cringe. When ESPN told him a number and he said he’s worth more than that and wasn’t signing, did he stop showing up to First Take? no, he went to work because currently he’s still under contract. if he asked to be released and said he was going to Fox and ESPN said no, would he still show up to First Take? obviously. so to say the organization is wrong in any way is ridiculous when you’re currently in the same position as Jimmy Butler but handling the situation the exact opposite of the way Jimmy is
