I think this is getting blown out of proportion. From stringing in several different reports, here is what I believe happened. Another team (Houston?) called the Kings about trading for Fox, but they wanted to know if Fox would sign an extension first. Much like how the Kings were going to trade for Pascal Siakam last trade deadline, but they wanted him to sign an extension first. Kings called Klutch Sports about seeing if Fox would sign the extension and was then told that Fox would only sign an extension with San Antonio (as Fox's wife is from San Antonio and they have two children under the age of 2). Kings called the team back and said that no extension would be signed.
Are there even reports that the Spurs and Kings have talked about a Fox trade?
