All I have to say is lol. Tatum is rebounding better than any player in this team. He in my opinion has been the best defender on the team all year. His playmaking has not only taken another level he just simply doesn’t make the same mistakes he made 3-4 years ago. He takes a couple of bad threes a game, yeah he also creates 10 good ones a night for his teammates.
Oh no, I had flashbacks to Smart when you said “making a few 3s to begin is becoming bad”
💚 Tom and John duo
“Juice loose in your pool” makes me smile every time lol
The obvious scouting report is to blitz double team Tatum, and to pester his high dribble. One thought is to go back to letting the POINT GUARDS set the offense, and have Tatum MOVE WITHOUT THE BALL. He may get better looks in a more-flowing, less-iso offense where Tatum has more space.
They take too many threes at the most inopportune times. They are currently four games behind last year ‘s pace. Had they won last night, they would’ve been over the 700 mark. The blue an 11 point fourth-quarter lead that’s unforgivable. I’m pissed that at least seven of the home losses were to 500 teams or less. The only homeless that might be justifiable was to Memphis.
My pet peeve with Tatum is that he doesn’t take advantage of mismatches enough. He also has so many games where it’s clear he can get to the hoop at will, yet instead of sticking with it, he resorts back to putting up bad threes. He’s super long & athletic, probably the strongest he’s been in his career and needs to use those advantages.
Thank you John & Tom☘️🔒
kornett is defensive liability just say it ha ha
Just look at what JB has been doing this season. And ppl still ask JT to do more. It's not like JB is going to let JT to have the ball.
Coaching has taken a nose dive I feel. Porzingis should’ve been in that final possession over Kornet. Joe fed him to the wolves.
Liked Tom's points about the seasonal expectations. Just wanted to add the Marcus Smart factor going along with the heartbreak loss from that Heat series game 7 @ home in the ECF going into last year. It created a sense of desperation that just isn't there this year.
Example is that Houston defense from last game juxtaposed to ours. Udoka got them playing tenacious with their version of Smart w/ Dillon the Villain @ the helm while C's look like they let the go of the rope way more often than previous iterations (complete and utter synaptic shut off last 2 possessions smh). Gotta button it up ☘︎🔒
John your point @29:00 I agree but my only issue is as much as these guys get paid,, I hate they cant atleast Appreciate the fans enough to play hard in HOME Games + 'Rivalry games'.. like cmon you cant be getting blown out by LAKERS (2nd straight season with embarrassing loss to Lakers too..) not being focused vs IME…just because of "First game back from road trip" narratives,,we dont wanna hear that lol🤦🏿♂️ also lets not forget losing 1st game vs Warriors,, etc. CERTAIN games should be circled on Calendar,, nobody saying they gotta play hard ALL 82 bruh.lol🤦🏿♂️
The most annoying part is we’re still gonna have to wait a couple months to really know if we’re right or wrong about this team. Because we know they have it in them to be the team from last year and they could just flip the switch in the playoffs. But with this team’s past I don’t like the odds of that, but again we won’t know until playoff time
Are you blind 2 drive to the basket goes in by JT in a closing seconds JB misses 2 opem 3 points and cannot defend thompson
Dont uderstand why He is not use his post fadeaway shot more offten Or even mid shot.? He got lenght advantage in 90% of his matchups..
Why do so many teams have mediocre players with career games vs the Celtics
That’s defensive effort and mindset
And this year they clearly don’t give a crap 💩 they are expecting to be gifted games
Tatum and Brown scare me down the stretch. Just play normal and maybe let our better shooters take a shot? Tatum could easily average a triple double, constantly miss wide open teammates cutting to rim or standing around rim.
JT is a great player. However I think JT is an elite difficult shot taker but not necessarily an elite difficult shot maker. I would love for them to work hard to hunt more uncontested shots.
