    Kenny Atkinson is Cavs coach now … But what I loved about that second Cleveland Game was that they were trying everything to stop them , from the hack a Steve, to the heavy zone , but Rockets still dominated them

    I disagree ftank58 about getting fox. Fox becomes the starting point guard and van fleet off the bench. This way you don't run van fleet in the ground. You see what he did in Toronto championship year off bench.

    I kept telling Y'all .. Jabari is not returning to the starting lineup cuz of the ascension of Amen Thompson. The Future of this team (as currently constructed) STOPS & STARTS with Amen Thompson !!! Jalen Green is obviously a uniquie talent, but Jalen needs to play with an Athletic Facilitator (i.e., Amen Thompson). The presence of Amen makes the Offense DYNAMIC cuz Amen can score (in a variety of ways) when opposing teams wanna load up on Jalen & Sengun !! Our Transition Game is LETHAL cuz of Amen & Jalen (and Tari) pushing the pace and attacking in Transition !!! Imma keep saying, Amen Thompson will be an All Pro whenever his Jumpshot comes around & it's coming !!! Very Soon, Amen Thompson will be the BEST 2-way player in the NBA !!

    These games have been really good. I don't love the starting lineup currently with Amen at the 4, and hope Jabari starts when he gets back but I'm really not sure who they will bench. I'd bench Jalen as to me on a great team, he's a scorer off the bench as his playmaking hasn't really been there, but I doubt the Rockets do that.

    Like you said the Rockets are turning it on in the fourth quarter and are playing stretches of elite defense, even though the defensive numbers have been down lately. I'm really liking the heart of this team

    Amen has been awesome and I think the pace benefits Jalen a lot. I know you've said before that when Jabari comes back Amen goes back to the bench do you think Dillon going to the bench and Amen starting would be an option?

    The only trade I would might do that doesn’t impact the roster entirely is Jock and 2 2nd round picks for RWIII. If somehow we can get that and it doesn’t affect anyone else on the team I’m excited for the playoffs.

    I really think the most potential lies with a FVV – Jalen – Amen – Jabari – Alpi lineup. For as silly as it is with DB going crazy from 3 the last couple of games, his defense just has not been there lately, and I think he is one of the big reasons why the current starting lineup is struggling on D. I think Jabari back at 4 with Amen at the 3, would immediately upgrade the defense back to where it was towards the beginning of the season. Also feel like that lineup works pretty well on offense too since Jabari can still provide the 3 pt spacing for Alpi and Amen to run their 2 man game in the paint. I don't know if it will happen due to Team chemistry and what not, but I definitely think it is the best potential starting 5 we could run.

    Great analysis as always. I've been saying this since last year, this is my favorite Rockets team. Love the way the fearless way they play and the genuine way they seem to support each other. To beat the teams they've beaten with Jabari out, Eason not quite back to form, and Sengun in a slump is telling of how deep we are. Question for you on that last point. How do you feel about Sengun's play lately? I think the constant double teams and physicality being thrown at him has gotten in his head. He often looks tentative on his shot and frustrated at his lack of makes and the lack of calls. I see it leaking into his defense where he doesn't seem quite as locked in as he was early in the season. Love his game. I just wish he wasn't so hard on himself and developed either a killer mentality or a carefree one.

    We are on pace to win 57 games even though the most difficult part of our schedule is behind us and we’ve had injuries.
    The 1994 Rockets won 58 games and the 1995 Rockets won 47 games. 😮

    Amen is an off ball Lebron James only 21and still getting stronger the way dudes bounce off him when he is driving is very reminiscent of Lebron his first couple of years when teams would back off daring him to shoot

    I think Jabari wont come back into the starting line up this season…just for continuity reasons if we continue to roll. I think next year though, dillon will either go to bench or get traded.

    I imagine next years starting 5 is FVV (option picked up), Jalen, Amen, Jabari and Sengun.

    Barring some major star trade in the off season.
