Adebayo majors in single doubles, cant shoot a 3. Herro was injured a LOT in the Play Offs ALL the time, yet somehow Butler wont get another bag and is pointed out for missing games? That is just dishonest. Neither Adebayo or Herro made close to the contributions that Butler has made to the Play Off runs in the past 6 years. What you have seen in the past few weeks and months is already the result of the Heat not planning with him, not extending him while costars get the bag. This was clear it would happen, so Riley, not being known to be a moron, not only saw that coming, but initiated it. Riley has wanted Butler out since last year or have him resign for dimes on the dollar.
Jimmy inherited this attitude. His dad always treated Jerry Krause like crap.
Jimmy Butler can still easily be top 5 player in the league in playoffs, and different from Kawhi he also play in the regular season, around 60 games per season under the toughest coaches is insane for his age.
A wing that can play through injury and provide mvp level performance in the playoffs, have insane on ball and off ball impact, should be well paid in the current league.
Jimmy best team would be with Jokic. they both have similar mindsets on getting high percentage shots and setting up other players. By playing with Jokic, westbrick has increased his basketball IQ from 2 to like 24. But I don’t think Denver is even looking for a player like Butler.

Riley would be a the guy to tell MJ to restrain his ego. That's why Riley never won with the Knicks. Not even when MJ was retired. Riley needed GOATS to even have a chance at a title run. Magic and Kareem, Wade, Shaq and Bron. Riley never built a roster that became successful by his doing. It was always already established Top10 ever players.
so trade both Herro and Jimmy for a high draft pick this year or something like that. The Heat Roster just aint gonna cut it.. Just do a full rebuild right now (like how OKC did it and now they are a major contender)

Jimmy honestly seems like the type of person where if you take care of him, he will give you his best. He went in the season hoping the Heat would take care of him with one more contract. Behind the scenes, the conversation obviously went differently. Add the fact of Bam and Hero and the changes, and it is going to leave Jimmy disgruntled and wanting change.

Riley logic: We dont want to pay this old declining guy after 2025. But in a trade, we want 2 young good players and 3 First Round picks for Butler in return. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
Imagine the turnaround if Butler gets dealt to the Warriors and Giannis signs with Golden State. Four stars doing what they could do to win. Curry, Dray, Butler, Giannis. Instant championship contender. Call me delusional, but it would be crazy if it actually happens. Very unlikely, I know, but it don't hurt to speculate.

Everyone is going to flame me for this but I agree with Jimmy. Yes the way he's behaving is wrong but the initial thing that set this whole thing off is statement Jimmy made about sending Boston and NY home if he played right? But wait, it wasn't a statement, it was someone recording him having a conversation with friends. Why did Riley have to comment on that? It wasn't his business. Jimmy didn't go to the press and say this.

The problem is there’s idiots who think he should get paid the max but also complain that Pat Riley hasn’t put another star to pair him with. You can’t have both with this CBA. It’s literally impossible. Unless you’re willing to let Bam and Herro go.
