6 days left to get rid of Bam’s title preventing contract, or the championship window shuts for the next 5 years, and the purgatory doors open. Bam will never have as much trade value for the rest of his career as he has right now. He’s not as good Rice, not as good as Caron, not as good as Odom, not as good as Eddie Jones. All had to be sacrificed in order to win championships….Many players are being dangled out there right now that are way better than Bam: Beal, Ingram, Fox etc….Get it done Pat! Whatever happens with Jimmy is secondary, for once, show some intuition and clairvoyance. Get rid of Bam’s contract before it’s too late!!
Brandon ingram??? YES. FINALLY. Someone i actually want on this team. The ONLY concern is his health. He cant ever seem to stop getting injured. But maybe a change of scenery would help that??? Pat Riley could never make any trades why should we expect him to be able to trade Jimmy. He’s the worst in the association at making trades. I have no faith in Riley at this point. He has almost ruined this year with that semi-racist comment he made last year . Riley is the PROBLEM .

While I would be fully supportive of this move I find it hard to believe that New Orleans is truly interested. They are rebuilding. Why would they be interested in acquiring Jimmy Butler? If he is really that interested in money he could potentially opt in and they would have to pay him $50 million. Plus he could get them more wins giving them less of a chance for a higher lottery pick. Now imagine they did get Cooper Flag with Jimmy and Zion?

Pelicans can get anything for Ingram. You trade him for Butler then you could potentially trade him in the off season in a sign and trade – can get something back. Or could try to get off McCollum’s money in the same deal somehow.

Brandon Ingram is a talented young player. But he has no reason to expect 50m/yr to play MAYBE half the season. Kid's gotta stay healthy. Trade feels inevitable, nobody's paying him what he's seeking.
