Trey Murphy III finished with a team-high 40 points along with 8 three pointers for the Pelicans in the losing effort. The Celtics improve their record to 34-15 with the win, while the Pelicans fall to 12-37 for the season. The Pelicans’ next game is Monday, 2/3/2025, against the Nuggets on the road (9:00 PM ET, ALT/KTVD/GCSEN), while the Celtics continue their road trip on Sunday, 2/2/2025, when they face the 76ers (6:00 PM ET, ESPN).

Not gonna lie, that foul on Javonte Green at 1:16 should've counted as a basket, plus the foul. His hand was underneath the basket as the ball went in by Porzingus, and the refs completely missed it. Should've counted for 2, plus the foul. And KP ended up missing both free throws.

That was so anti-clutch. Both teams misfiring and making errors. The game should have been sealed by C's with 2 minutes to go, but they kept failing in situations they shouldn't. Not sure what is more inexcusable – KP missing BOTH free throws or not being able to complete a dunk. Terrible win by C's but Pelicans were even more pathetic.
Note – my opinion is based only on last 4 minutes of the game. They might have done great things earlier that I do not know of. But those last 4 minutes were a pain to watch.
