Indianapolis Colts – Chris Ballard, worst NFL GM? (Nope!) Indiana Pacers – trade Myles Turner?

Chris Ballard – is he among the worst or the best NFL general managers? The scale of justice is nearly as level as his record from 2018-2024!
NBA Trade Deadline is just one week away – and the Pacers need to make a call! Myles Turner is an OK stretch five scheduled to become a free agent after his current contract expires. Should the Pacers trade Turner – or risk him walking without compensation this summer?

  1. Ballard is dead level average. He ranks better than the rest of the team. ☹️

  2. "The Worst" requires clarification. If it is defined as the most incompetent, he is not. Clearly, indisputably, he is not. If the worst means getting further from winning a Super Bowl, then he may have been the worst the last couple of years. The Colts are trapped in mediocrity. The players are comfortable and complacent, so the culture sucks, and 90% of the players know it will never affect them. True failure would lead to getting the kind of players who can turn the organization around. True failure would mean the GM gets fired and then someone else can turn it around. Chris Ballard has done just well enough to stay employed, which leads to the players following his lead, and doing just well enough to stay employed. Every year Ballard stays, the Colts grow further from ever winning a Super Bowl. If that's the goal, championships, not the bare minimum to stick around, then he has failed in truly spectacular fashion.

  3. No way Ballard is better than Caserio.. Texans won a playoff game against Chargers

The fact is we've finished n the bottom half of the league for a few years now

Over half the league is better than Ballard .. that's a fact as of today

  4. With irsay don't know who's responsible for a different qb every year no team can win like that and Richardson is not the answer if it is Ballard then he should go. Irsay reminds me of Jerry Jones if owner ur owner is running the team why have a gm

  5. Ballard, QBs retreads & "potential", won't win Superbowls. Stop aiming for the 1st round and aim for the Superbowl! Trade up, get a franchise QB & build around him. Duh. Can he not see a common thread?

  6. At this point, I would not trade him… A year ago, I would have… But seriously nobody is going to offer up, what we need… We can't trade our only center, without a center… If we get through the season, and only have Myles turner as your center, I'd be ok with it… If he don't sign this off-season it is available money u can use… That's how I feel, if we were going to trade him, that something we should of thought of a year ago…

  7. Kent,
Yes indeed… the Colts did very well, personnel-wise, when moving on from Carson Wentz. But check this out…

Here's what Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles did by trading Wentz to the Colts in 2021…

Not only was Philly able to send ALL 4 EXISTING YEARS of Wentz's massive contract to Indy, but Howie has also parlayed the draft capital received from the Colts into the following :

    DeVonta Smith
    A.J. Brown
    Kyron Johnson
    Jalen Carter
    Cooper DeJean
    Jalyx Hunt
    Jeremiah Trotter Jr

    And still to come…
    4th & 5th round picks in 2025

    Bottom Line…
What the Colts did with Wentz was really quite good.

What Howie Roseman and the Eagles did with Wentz was absolutely masterful (and there's still more to come in 2025).

    "Fly Eagles Fly…!!!"

  8. Jim McMahn was drafted 5th overall in his draft. I will admit I had NO IDEA of that before this video BUT it took me less than 15 seconds to Google and find the answer to that question. ESPN needs to quit being lazy…

  9. Hi I'm Kent Bayless never disappoints after Ballard is gone let's match his record and D titles vs. Jerry's and let's see who drafted more hof player's
