Luka have a conditioning problem he won't last in the NBA long term if he don't get serious about conditioning.
The Mavs are going to have to give AD a massive deal when he’s out because he’s the franchise player. That’s the NBA.

I agree with Colin, guys like Luka, Harden, Melo don't win championships. Getting AD puts you in a better position to win a title.
@johnobrien5037 Anthony Davis is not a good fit in Dallas as constructed. So maybe u should put down the cider games and learn about basketball. I laugh at your ignorance. Short term the Mavericks have a team in need of floor spacing. Anthony Davis is shooting a career low 29% from 3. Add him to Lively Jr and Gafford, with PJ playing the 3 and there is zero room in the lane. Add to the fact that it does not help their perimeter D with PJ and Klay guarding 2-3 positions. That makes the D worse and the offensive will not have much room to operate. D can now overload vs Kyrie and to Klay or other spacer and keep them from getting down hill (see unlike you, I actually have knowledge of the sport and don't get my news from people like cowherd.). So, yes, not a good trade for Dallas. They needed to add Reece's to the deal. Then I would be applauding Dallas. But they made their perimeter D less athletic to have 2 shot blockers on the court. And bad floor spacing.
Lakers came out winner on this.
And Lebron got ANOTHER superstar…jeez

Everyone is talking about the Mavs not wanting to do a 345 million dollar max deal. THE CAP IS RAISING, AND EVERY TOP PLAYER WILL BE GETTING THE MAX. What you are essentially saying is that Luka is not worth the standard league max contract, which is insane. Also, Cuban didn't have anything to do with this deal. He hasn't had decision making powers since he sold the team.

For months I've had to read or listen to the narrative about how the NFL wants the Chiefs in the SB. . Yet I don't hear anyone talking about, Once Again the Lakers get a centerpiece.. for next to nothing.. all the while the narrative has been the ratings being down and what's the league gonna do moving forward when LBJ leaves. Luca is over rated. He is a cry baby who doesn’t play defence. The Maverick organization got rid of him for a reason, they know what kind of player he really is. You just don’t get up out of bed and trade away your star player who’s in his prime. A white player at that.
I'm a Mavs fan. I was initially super shocked. I already knew about the training camps, conditioning, etc. I just plain like Luka. That being said, this was a massive chess move by Dallas. Yes, you've potentially given up this generational talent. BUT, Luka hasn't been consistent or disciplined, while still being great, BUT in Dallas. NOT exactly a party town, or with a spotlight on it, as far as basketball is concerned. Football, yes. That's why everyone says the Cowboys are the Lakers of football. Point is, in LA, there's going to be a MASSIVE spotlight on Luka now, in a rabid basketball city, with all the distractions that come with being in LOS ANGELES! The Lakers, hate them if you want, have an expectation of greatness and commitment, and with LeBron being on his way out, is now thrust onto Luka. It seems like the Mavs org is betting that Luka will cave and not flourish under all the distractions and pressure, and won't be a factor when competing against him. The big problem will be if Luka gets so pissed he focuses up and excels. But his history of "laziness" and whining at every ref on the court, would suggest they made the right, strategic, move. Only time will tell.
LOL Remember when Luka was racially attacked on the court by Montrezl Harrell post-George Floyd and no did anything about it?? That was a good one. Wonder if that happen today???
