Monte, Wes, and the Kings brass better listen to the fans and add quality size in the 4 and 5 slots and wings with those draft picks.
This is nothing but a lateral move, the kings didn’t get a single young player to build with, lavine’s contract is awful, and the pick return is underwhelming at best; not getting a hawks pick from the spurs is completely unacceptable
This is a win, when you look at the numbers alone and what's been happening lately with Fox, Lavine is an excellent swap and the pick reload makes it an easy win. If Monte can pull off a back up 4-5, this could save the season. Just watching Fox the last 20 games you can see the issues are real with the finger. The two big games he had do not outweigh the multitude of terrible shooting and bad decisions that we have seen for most of this season. I don't hate Fox, but there is something off about his energy and his ability to lock in lately. It feels like he really did want out bad and just let the Kings FO and Klutch take the blame. I think the Mike Brown firing also was bigger than we know (Mike Brown incoming to the Spurs btw….going to happen). I wish De'Aaron the best, but when the season is over, my bet is we are thankful this happened.
Didnt get Vassel,Castle, or even Sochan? Didnt even get any of Spurs good draft picks just Lavine and a ton of useless 2nd rd picks for their allstar

Monte doesn’t care at all about length and defense. All he does is bring in players who score and need the ball in their hands.

Honestly. Watching what has happened to this team under Vivek makes me wish they would have moved to Seattle.
Fox is a 1x all star you will get value for that… paying a guy who shoots 30-31% from 3 in his career 55-60 million would’ve been bad not to mention that hierter contract was horrible luke kennard was a free agent last year and in the open market he fetched 8 mill a year while huerter is making 17 mill ….. at the end of the day man we are kings fan we jist want to go to the playoffs and just maybe go to a conference finals like when trae young left the hawks or dame led the blazers …. Fox couldn’t do that with the talent the kings gave him…
Something needed to happen. There was no option to keep a healthy, enthusiastic Fox. He’s injured and wants to leave. His attitude was mid to poor. So based on that reality, a trade was needed. Whether this trade was sufficient is debatable. Will there be further moves this week? Hope so.

Kings could have done better. They were in a position of strength as the Spurs wanted DeAaron playing with Wemby. But they didn't negotiate in that matter. They should have insisted on the Spurs better draft picks. Lavine doesn't play defense and the Kings were already a poor defensive team
