Jimmy Butler is NOT going to be traded. He’s going to sit for the rest of the season. Pat Riley is NOT trading with Phoenix outright and unless a third or 4tg team help and Miami gets a star player on a short term contract, I don’t think it’s happening. Jimmy is going to stay right where he’s at.
Y is his reluctance to sign a extension such a turnoff for interested teams. These retal trades have been going on far too long & interested teams had no issues then. Example Dame recently & Kawhi when he was traded to the Raptors & win a chip! Once again this is the NBA making life difficult for The Heat w/ their naracsatic CULTURE!

Jimmy is costing himself money all over the board. So he goes to team and gets a max contract , they don’t compete for a championship. He’ll get less sponsor deals, vs play on a team compete for a championship and if you do win what ever you lost in salary would be made up multiple times via endorsement deals.

I would just keep Jimmy Butler fully suspended without pay until next NBA season for everything this man has done!!!! 100%, Miami has every legal right to keep suspending Jimmy until a trade that Pat Riley wants to make actually emerges. Jimmy is causing the Heat lots of problems that is detrimental to the team which warrants the suspension without pay. Jimmy is purposely not playing hard when he plays and he’s leaving practice early and purposely missing team flights. Heck I’d be fired if I demonstrated behavior anywhere close to that at my work. So if I were Miami and Pat Riley, I’d sit back and keep Jimmy Suspended until someone rang my phone with a fantastic offer that’s worth Miami’s time. If not, then screw Jimmy and keep him suspended with NO pay until July!!! Plain and simple

You mess with the bull and you get the horns. Let this be a lesson to this front office. If you don’t want to extend a guy that is looking to get paid, you trade them before it gets ugly. This should have been done over the summer, except the Heat are delusional about their chances of winning.
Now there are no good options. You might have to bite the bullet on Beal to get the 3 FRPs to support Bam, Tyler, and co. down the road. I don’t see any other way of acquiring draft picks over the next few years. You would have to trade one of the guys you’re trying to build around.
The only other option is to keep Jimmy and make it so bad with suspensions that he doesn’t want to opt in. We would also probably have to trade Duncan for an expiring to get far enough under the luxury tax that we can sign a guy like Kuminga in the offseason. We are NOT going to be outbidding anyone for high demand players.

Yes of course I know all about multiple team trades however most teams are not getting involved with this Phoenix trade and Miami is crystal clear about what they want. So unless something miraculous happens soon, Jimmy is going to stay suspended on Miami’s bench. Plus you just said it, Beal’s NTC will also make multi team trades extremely difficult because Bradley can veto any such trade. So it’s looking unlikely to happen. That’s my point
