As someone pointed out in the comments, Spotrac incorrectly lists the Lakers’ pick situation, meaning the proposed Poeltl trade is in violation of the Stepien rule. I’m probably not as high on making a Poeltl trade if they had to wait until 2031 to get the first rounder!
