  1. An interesting point is that with the new supermax rules teams that draft a superstar are actually incentivized to trade their player before the supermax hits, so we could theoretically see teams trade comparable superstars with each other in order for both teams to avoid paying the supermax. For example, Atlanta and Boston could trade Trae and Tantum for each other in order for both teams to save money.

  2. 260lbs and took us to the finals and western conference finals. And why not max him out,? Don’t they make money off tickets merchandise etc…… and Nico saying we want to win now!? You could win now and then 10 years from now makes no sense at all. And the way they did Luka shame on the organization.

  3. There's no world in which giving Luka a supermax in Dallas is considered a dumb decision. Trading him is considered dumb. It most likely will get him fired next season or soon after. I think you could convince someone to come play with Luca in Dallas. Good luck trying to get someone to come play with AD or Kyrie.

  4. Both Joker and Luka clearly work out because they both easily move other NBA players out of the way throughout the game. They both just don't seem to value the plyometric type of atheism that basketball is known for, so they really stick out compared to the other players. It feels like most media members give the impression that some of the best players in the sport are actually somehow lesser athletes than the rest of the league, and that opinion is just beyond stupid.

  5. Why do the casino owner and shoe executive get the benefit of the doubt? If Luka isn't worth the supermax extension, that means there are only 3 players that are. Watch how many owners give in, or collude to swap stars so everybody gets a smaller max deal.

  6. What bs. As if Luka wouldn't sign with the spurs or any other team. Lakers didn't even know he would sign there and still any other gm in the league was like "wtf, I'd have paid more"

  7. They werent afraid. Nico wanted his fboi here. Hes got the baby oil all lined up for him. AD is trash. We gave away a top 3 player in the world for NOTHING. This franchise is done. Break it up. Burn down the building

  8. This trade was probably made by Adam Silver. They have ratings problems and this might've been his idea. No other reason a trade that a drunken toddler wouldn't have made would go down (with the biggest market benefiting from nonetheless)

  9. The amount of gaslighting we’re getting is immense. The NBA made them send him to the Lakers because of the historically bad ratings this season. 54% below previous worst ratings. MLB, NFL, NBA. There’s no integrity in any of these games. Viewership, ratings, and profit drives what happens each season. Corrupt to the core, what do you expect from billionaires?
