My only issue with AM Hoops channel is there is zero nuance. Every take is back and white “kings suck, spurs good.” Ignoring that SA is on a 5 year playoff drought and while yes Sacramento was on a much longer drought, they’ve improved dramatically.
Fox rejected extensions 3 times, he knew he was leaving and so did Sacramento. Kings were really up against a wall with no leverage here, they didn’t get fleeced as much as had little choice else lose Fox in a year for nothing. If you look at this trade through the lens of Sacramento gets LaVine and a decent first knowing they would get nothing in just one year and knowing most teams won’t give up much for someone with just one year left on a contract then would say they did OK.
To be honest was a trade I was most interested… Not laker,s one ….
Man if luka got the $350 million supermax but was fat, lazy, didn't play defense and was injured… Oh and had a bad attitude that argued every call we would say it was the worst contract in sports history… I can understand the nervous front office… Probably would have held out for the Lakers other first round pick though.

You have much more faith in the Bulls’ front office than any seasoned Bulls fan. Karnisovas and Eversley are probably two of the least capable people ever hired by the franchise and even if it looks like the plan is to tank and rebuild through the draft they’ll either pick the wrong guy or refuse to bring in the right staff to develop them. The fact the Bulls couldn’t get more picks out of this deal shows how unserious they are about rebuilding through the draft and I think almost anyone could have negotiated for more. I wish Chicago sports fans had the willpower to boycott their teams when they played like shit but they don’t so we’ll probably be bad for the rest of time.
