Its pretty common in europe football if a star with 1.5year contract wont agree to extend their contract they are traded for far less than they are worth ,because soon club wont get any. Season ticket prices for holders for Mavs games for next season just rose about 61% after this fallout. They just mentioned this on the local DFW NBC 5 website. This definitely smells of sabotage from within the front office of the Mavs.

The reason for this top secrecy is because the NBA wanted this to happen, Why? Simple, they are trying to push Wimby up to super star status and for there to be 2 power houses in Dallas would not be good for the organization bottom line, MONEY.
Bottom line is the new owner, a Vegas built big man, wants to bring the mavs to Vegas. NIco built his team to win and it was going very well, but now the directive is to dismantle the team. Look they traded Kyries close friend in this trade to LA, i think it was morris. Easier to move a team when it's fan base is low. Plus the money they save can go into building a new stadium.
