Derrick White is making a difference all around Boston | More Than An Athlete

From day one as a Boston Celtic, Derrick White has worked to make a major difference on the court and in the community. His involvement in organizations like Special Olympics Massachusetts, the Curbside Care program for young families, community court renovations and fitness for kids earned him the Shamrock Foundation’s 2024 Community Champion award.

Derrick White is so much more than an athlete.

    As a former Special Olympic athlete who’s played for them since 2015 It makes me really happy to see Derrick white associate himself with the organization, thank you Derrick for giving our community some light! 💚🍀

    (I played for Florida but I wish to play in Boston one day!)

    I love Derek so much! I graduated from high school 40+ years ago and still remember this little boy named Fred that I met when volunteering for Special Olympics.

    I thoroughly enjoy watching Derrick play basketball for the Celtics..but it warms my heart immensely to see him give his time and love to help the people of Boston..especially the kids !!!! He is a TRUE CELTIC and an amazing young man 🎉🎉❤❤❤
