Vince stepped up last year out of no where. I had him as our 4th best player coming into the season. Can’t trade him. He’ll have time to warm up coming up to the playoffs

Trade Smart, Jake, Jitty. They should all be out of rotation when healthy. Add a pick or two, endless possibilities. Will they strike for a longer Cam/Hunter type player or an expiring (pay Santi)? Fringe big or pg depth?
Dude! Marcus Smart has played under 40 games out of like 130 games in the last 2 seasons. Can we really rely on that? We're getting nothing from Smart.
I'm through with the Marcus Smart fiasco, move him asap!

Don’t forget how different playoff basketball is from regular season. We will NEED a vet presence to help get us to another level. We should keep Smart for that reason

While smart is important defensively, i think he's too much of a liability offensively for the grizzlies to keep him. Im not agains the lonzo trade because he can shoot, playmake, and defend tho not to the same level he was a couple years ago. He's also less turnover prone that Smart. To me, we cant go far in the playoffs with smart. He is too inconsistent and erratic. Lonzo much safer and more reliable, and is okay with playing off ball while smart needs the ball in his hands to be effective.

If we can somehow get Cam Johnson for Smart and John Konchar I’d be fine with that. But at the same time even though Smart has missed a lot of games. I feel that he contributes a veteran voice very well and a good leader that is tough to replace. Plus when he did play I liked what we got from him. I remember one of games this season he made like 7 threes.
If Ben Simmons gets bought out, we might as well sign him if we lose Smart. We’ll keep defense and playmaking and they both suck offensively.
Nicolas Claxton or Cam Johnson. Make it happen.

I’d be comfortable with Smart if he didn’t gain weight. He looks even less mobile defensively. I don’t know if his defensive impact with make up for his offensive liabilities.
We don't need any of those broken up people or those divas that are trying to be traded Memphis has an awesome team and I think we can do it with what we have

These guys that we are talking about trading for are good players but will they be able to pick up memphis's play style this season?
If your trading, addition by subtraction. Add some picks and cut some salary for the off-season. Then you can use that value for draft night trades. Smart would be decent to keep for a playoff run as backup PG, then trade in the offseason.
Smart and Konchar for the Warriors. A Wiggins would be awesome.

We trade Clarke and Jitty for Lonzo. Lonzo fits our system perfectly. Bulls will like BC and they have other PGs. Next season, make Pippen backup PG and give Lonzo and Jake’s money to Jaren for his max. That problem’s solved. Next, we send Marcus and a first to Brooklyn for Cam Johnson.
