I quite don't get the stance that says "the lakers won this trade" I don't agree at all actually, Luka is a one dimensional player that always was a defensive liability on the court, they both equal in the fact they are fragile, and the value of players at this point never extend beyond 3 or 4 years, I think Dallas won this trade really big, the Lakers don't have a competitive lineup unless they unload Lebron James off the payroll at this point, and they have no way to get a much needed defensive lineup, the lakers in my opinion are a lottery team for the coming few years and might lose Luka for it before they get a chance to turn him into a franchise player, Luka already tasted finals, he will not accept to scale back into early summers…
It's clear at this point they're pulling a Major League, tanking the team so they can relocate it.
In this case, to Vegas.

As a Laker fan I love it, it's a steal. Now they have awaken two giants, Luka will want to prove he is not dead weight and he has D, and Lebron will want to prove he is still the best laker currently. Those 2 are the absolute top 3 players in the NBA right now with Steph and hopefully they can even instill that fire in Reeves and Kinec

This trade is not what you all believe. Nothing to do with trying to win a championship. Mavs new owner owns the Sands casino in Vegas & is trying to build an all new casino resort with a new basketball arena built inside once their Arena lease expires in 2031. Problem is Texas State legislatures have rejected approval on any casino plans forcing Mavs owners to threaten to relocate them to Vegas. Only way the league would ever approve a move is if the Mavs are horrendous with a fanbase that hates them which is what is happening now. Either the State of Texas approves a new casino arena in Irving Tx where the old Cowboys stadium used to be at or they will move the team to Vegas! Don’t say you haven’t been warned
