  1. @benrogers for any raptors ingram trade to go down, they have to include raptors long term salary. if you know the pelicans biggest need its for a 7 ft starting center. so if an ingram trade goes down, jakob poeltl is going to pelicans with likely rj barett. rogers wont pay luxury tax and ingram wants 50 million a year which is more than rj barett and jakob poeltl combined. ingram rejected 40 million a year from pelicans so he wont come to toronto for a discount.

  2. @benrogers run the luxury tax calculation, if they let brown, boucher, davion mitchell walk for nothing, and they pay ingram a max they raptors are in luxury tax.

  3. @benrogers its likely boucher going to knicks for mitchell robinson, and then jakob poeltl who is due for a big raise north of 30 million in early summer extension is traded.

bruised toe nail, hip pointer, paper cut, you can make any excuse to pull someone who has played a half with no apparent injury and say they not coming back cuz of injury cuz they gonna be moved before thursday.

the raptors content creators biggest fear is a 4 year rebuild cuz they require fan interaction for their income.

  4. Who ever is commenting on the Denver not making this move you are totally wrong. Haven’t you learned from the Dallas trade. GM are looking to get under the tax despite love affection for their players. Being a second apron team hand cuffs team and the tax penalty is too much for these GM to stomach

  5. I suspect we are back to seeing a lot of starters injured for the Raptors, they don't want to finish any better than 5th or 6th worst record. I don't see KO and Brown being enough to get Ingram, he may be a rental for a team who still thinks they have a shot. Should be a fun 24 hrs!

  6. Masai is always looking for deals getting BI for next to nothing is a steal. Yes you will be in the tax but remember the only long term deals they have on the books is IQ and Scottie. Depending on who you draft in a deep draft this year and next. Some of these players will be expendable. The idea is to acquire as much talent as possible to reshape your roster from year to year

  7. What % of past Raptors' trades have been leaked ahead of time? It seems like any deals they have done have been done silently.
This is the silly season. It was fun for a bit, now I'm really looking fwd to it being over.

  8. The Denver idea – is good mathematically – but you can't develop that many of the same type of player at once. So unless Grady Jacoby Jonathan and Ochai Jamison are all on the block my immediate reaction is WHY ?

Ingram is not the Answer – Mathmatically as he's about to be a UFA/Rental – or on the court. The NBA is shifting again and the name of the game isn't 3 Point play – it's big front courts. Raps need a starting 6ft 10 or better PF to compliment Jak and Scottie simultaneously – not an older player whom plays similarly and the same position as Scottie – just not quite as well.  Raps can be in the playoff conversation soon – how does this lineup look against the teams they'd get – Boston; Cleveland; Bucks; etc that all are big up front ?

Team building is a holistic approach. We don't need more wings. Our Guards are ok right now. We need a Long term big PF to grow with the Core.

  9. I like Ingram but he’s the ultimate “settle” player. The kind of guy you pay big money for if you can’t get a real superstar. Like what Rudy Gay was. His next contract will be an albatross, along with IQ’s current one.

  10. I'm in for the Denver move!
I cant see Raps making a big move, unless the pot is so sweet they can't say no – as far as it being reported (Wiggins/Ingram), they are bogus news clips to get views. They are redundant players to RJ, typical SF's, not SG's, and a top heavy financial starting 5 – looking like the Leafs. If they do make a trade like this, they'd have to be very confident in 2nd draft picks on first year contracts playing above their heads to assemble a bench.

  11. Why are we willing to save a team who outspends you by 80 million. Let their bums take their penalties like a man.
