NY Knicks Trade Rumors: 3 Trade Targets via Bleacher Report

New York Knicks trade rumors are hearing some noise with the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline just one day away. The Knicks have been linked to three players as potential trade candidates before the deadline. With the Knicks current cap situation and trying to stay under the NBA second apron rules, the NY Knicks are restricted with who they can trade for. Bleacher Report has listed Washington Wizards’ Corey Kispert, Atlanta Hawks’ Larry Nance Jr. and San Antonio Spurs’ as potential targets for the New York Knicks. To make any of these trades possible the Knicks would almost certainly have to trade center Mitchell Robinson and his $14.3 million salary to fit the Knicks salary cap. Robinson has been just cleared for contact as he has been recovering from ankle surgery. NY Knicks Now host Marshall Green looks at the potential trades the Knicks could make in today’s YouTube video.

FanSpo on Corey Kispert contact:
“Corey Kispert is on a rookie contract and signed an extension that is to begin the following season. Therefore, he has what is known as a “poison pill” contract. He can no longer be traded for a player making equal money. Instead, his current salary is averaged along with the salaries he is to receive in his extension, and that average becomes his incoming salary for trade purposes. His outgoing value for the Wizards will be $5.7M while his incoming value for the receiving team will be $11.9M.”

Kispert’s catch and shoot 3P% stats:
– 2024: 35.5 (4.5/G)
– 2023: 39.0 (4.9/G)
– 2022: 42.9 (4.7/G)
– 2021: 35.6 (3.9/G)

  2. Outside of moving Sims..I don't see the Knicks trading anyone else..I'd hate to lose Dadier in a trade for Champagnie of the Spurs

  3. We pushed all our chips into the pot when we made the Bridges trade, now we've got to live with it. Run with what we've got, and hope Mitch can stay healthy for the rest of the season, as well as Thibs using people like Ariel, Moses, and Kolek.

  4. If the player is not an all NBA caliber wing player, please ignore it. Kispert is not a need for the Knicks. With Mitch back, we still require size and athleticism. A 6'10 player who can guard the 3,4 and 5 will be perfect. Corey Kispert makes -100% sense. The man is an awful defender.
