What Happened to the High-Scoring Houston Rockets Lefty BEFORE James Harden? | FPP

Cuttino Mobley was one half of an exciting Houston Rockets backcourt in the early 2000s, alongside Steve Francis. A late bloomer at Rhode Island, Mobley led the Rams to their first Elite 8 in program history before being taken in the 2nd round by the Rockets. Initially playing alongside Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, and Scottie Pippen, before transitioning into a focal point of their game plan alongside Francis and Yao Ming. But then he was included in the Tracy McGrady trade, and eventually found himself with the LA Clippers alongside Elton Brand and Sam Cassell, helping lead the team to their first playoff series victory in 30 years. But shortly afterwards, a trade to New York would lead to the discovery of a heart condition which forced his retirement. Yet in later years, Mobley would receive a second opinion saying he did not have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and his retirement was forced for salary cap reasons. Yet ven though he never returned to the NBA, he carved out a great second career in Ice Cube’s BIG3 League.

  6. Although Cuttino Mobley had a very good productive career in playing well in the NBA, according to the title theme of this forgotten video, how was Mobley Misdiagnosed? Did he have a diagnosis?

Also, loved Kenny Thomas in college. Haven't heard that name in forever

  8. come on, Bob Lanier deserves a video more than Cuttino Mobley.

the only thing memorable about him is he has the same walk as Steve Francis

  9. I watched nba like a hawk from 1996-2017. Last 8-9 years nba has changed, and Mobley was great always used to use him in basketball games as a youngster
