I don't care much for this trade unless the Trailblazers want Springer in a trade for Rob Williams III. Springer and Landale and 2 second round picks for Time Lord.
No KD. Fox was the smarter move. But we sat on our hands. Now,they will wait till all the best players that fit are all gone. Jayden Springer is ok move to pacify the fans. It was a low risk move. I've been vehemently against any KD deal for the various reasons it doesn't make sense. He's got 2 great-elite years left at the most and after that you've thrown away long-term assets in a move that's a failure if you don't actually win a title, etc. etc.
But if you're saying there's a planet where all it would take is Jabari and Reed Sheppard, do it 100 times out of 10. I highly doubt we live on that planet, though. I, too, can turn the trade sliders all the way down in NBA 2K where if I want to trade a Kevin Ollie for prime Michael Jordan the game just forces it through no questions asked
Another trade is needed. We could have got Jericho Sims from New York. A much needed bigman to give size on the boards. We miss out on Quentin Grimesfrom Dallas. He would have provided much needed shooting on the cheap.We also definitely need a closer for the end of game. But, don't mortgage the future for Kd. The league is getting better and teams stronger . I would rather trade more picks than trading jabari. He's the most underrated player on this team and it shows. We are deteriorating defensively since he was down. Cam/reed, dillon/fvv, phx picks, and/or fillers. That's it for KD

I do not expect the front office to make any other move but the West just got insane. Spurs, Mavs, Lakers, Kings, Warriors all got better. I downgraded my expectations from the team. I think avoiding a first round exit is the goal for this season after what happened in this deadline.

Id love KD in a vacuum, both for the on-court production and the impact having our young guys around one of the greatest pure hoopers the sport has seen. However, theres no way to to that trade without giving up FVV or a young player of value, n thats not worth it at the moment unless the thinking is that its what pushes us into OKC territory of contention. I dont believe it would. I honestly feel that an upgrade to the Jock n Holiday roles would do wonders. If we got Timelord and Brogdon for 2nds n expirings not named Tate or Green, we'd b solid
