  1. Mitch Johnson likely ran into some rotation trouble, leading to Fox being exhausted down the stretch. Thankfully, Wemby dug deep and found a few winning plays because the Spurs absolutely needed them

  2. Can G-League coach Mitch Johnson screw this up? He sure can…and he proved it tonight with yet ANOTHER blown lead in the second half. Only Wemby's heroics saved the day.

    Hire Monty Williams NOW!!!

  3. And remember Victor Wembanyama tonight was super sick he was visibly sick and exhausted. Post game interview this dude’s trying to choke down vomit lol.. and he still dropped a double double and made the game-winning plays. So imagine a healthy Victor Wembanyama with DeAaron Fox and the team chemistry starts to build up. That’s probably the scariest thing next to Luka Dončić and Mark Williams and Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis

  4. Wemby had been sick for a couple of games now. I watched his post-game interview after the Bucks game and he was already losing his voice there and he was out for one game I think. I watched his post-game interview after this game and he still sounds congested and sounds like he was short of breath while talking. Hopefully, he recovers soon. The Spurs back-up center, Bassey, just had an MCL strain hence why Sochan is the current back-up center.

  5. Fox was moving like a 🦊 last night too, I knew he was pretty quick, but damn that kid is fast!!! Only if Wesley can freaking get his shots up and stop passing the ball so much, he and Fox could be another deadly option, because Wesley is like…beep beep, quick as well!!! I was ecstatic during last night's game!!! The future is really, really bright for These(My) Spurs!!!! Spurs4Life Baby!!! 💪😎🤟💕💯

  6. I just wanna say wemby has been visibly sick these last couple of games, and has still put up great games and efficient scoring. When he gets back in shape, and him and Fox get comfortable with each other shits going to be scary. There were several times I saw wemby not get into a play defensively where he usually does because he was gassed. This duo will wreck games on both ends of the floor

  7. The offense will be there, but this makes their defense about to be a real problem. On top of that, i have not really heard anyone talk about Harrison Barnes being on the team and how thats going to impact how Fox blends right in because they have already been together for yeras.

  8. I thought his assists were an underrated part of Fox's game. It showed in this first game, 13 assists. Also, the Spurs had 16 steals, almost half coming from Fox and Vassell, they average less than 8 a game so far this season. This could be a good sign that Fox's impact on the defensive perimeter could be higher than expected. He's quick enough to work around screens and recover, he's sharp enough to get into passing lanes, and with Wemby's quickness, they should make a good pairing on defense.

Wemby's play at the end of the game to run the clock and take Atlanta off guard by bricking the final free throw might be one of the most overlooked plays of the game. Wemby is smart, now he has a running mate. There will be growing pains, but this is a good start.

Fox pointed out at the end of the game he was disappointed they gave up the lead, but they were able to close the game out. I think Fox's experience will provide the Spurs that extra toughness to learn to close out games and hopefully avoid losing leads like they have been doing the past two years.

Overall, this was a great start.

  9. Fox has to transition from just being fast like John Wall but now he's getting Shifty which will help him have more control stop and go only sprinting when you have to

  10. Cp3 mentoring fox before he leaves he gone find a spot in they management he’s there as a on floor coach wemby sick and ballin jus dropped his build on 2k dis team ain’t done movin Shit Dey gon be serious

  11. The Spurs are night and day better with him at the helm. He’s such a threat offensively that he collapses the defense creating tons of opportunities for his teammates.

He’s still learning the Spurs offense but he racked up 13 assists last night! Scary good.

  12. All you youtubers are a bunch of teenage girls, whatever is new and popular you jump in the air screaming for. None of you gave 2 shits about De'aaron Fox when he was on the Kings but now that hes paired with the new flavor of the month he's all the sudden Prime D Rose
