Danny Ainge didn't get tricked. He got an expiring contract and 2 second round picks for doing nothing. Utah is not a contender so what does he care if the Lakers get better.
A few years down the line, if the Lakers knock Utah out of the playoffs, Danny Ainge will be the MVP, even if he isn’t the GM 😂

You two are clowns. Mavs and Lakers already had the deal done, but needed a third team to facilitate it. If it wasn’t the Jazz, it would've been another team. Ainge got two picks for doing nothing. Trade would've happened either way. Nobody got fleeced besides Mavericks fans.
I honestly don't know how Ainge has a job at this point. The Warriors offered an incredible trade package a few months back that would have helped towards a Jazz rebuild and he fumbled it because he wanted to hang on to an above average player.
