I love this deal. I was hoping Zo Ball. When he got extended I thought maybe Sexton. Schroder didn’t seem possible at all to me though, I was wishing for him when Brooklyn started their sale. Now, Schroeder is a Pistons! A stable, productive PG to hold the fort for now. This is a W!
I'm happy with the deal. Overall, probably a B grade for the trade deadline.

This is a win imo. I think he fits the identity of the team & will really help the second unit.
I'm not a fan of Schroder, especially after his slavery comment, but he does fill a position of need. Sasser won't be playing much anymore, I don't expect him to remain with the Pistons for very long anyway. This gives plenty of reason to keep Cade fresh throughout games and gives them a much better chance at being the 5th seed. Not bad when you took on 2 draft picks and used some of your cap space without any negative impacts to the future.
When is he available to play?
Man we traded away KJ Martin but I'm glad we got a backup PG but I was excited about KJ Martin 😂
Sasser for trade
Marcus sasser being "unplayable" as a back up PG is a stretch to me. I know he isn't a natural pg but he has been serviceable for sure especially when we didnt have anyone else
So this is a short-term fix as he is an expiring contract. A position we will be looking at again over the summer 🤷🏾♂️
Good moves for the trade deadline. I would have liked to have seen a more dynamic player come in. However going fundamentally sound works, fill gaps and try to mesh. I personally would have liked a max christie or maybe try a hand in that Luka trade lol
hopefully shroeder has a good few months for us. if he balls out, next seasom we could either a. hold onto him as a perfect 6th man or b. trade him for a healthy profit. i like the move as a nice relief for cade
