if ingram stays healthy and jakob poeltl continues to improve… this team should be very good. Quickley, Barnes, RJ, Ingram, Poeltl… with Gradey, Ochai, Boucher, Ja’Kobe, Jamal Shead, (hopefully high draft pick this year)… solid solid solid team. if these guys take the jumps in their games then this will be a competitive team. maybe not quite a contender though but raps still own their draft picks.
As a Pels fan: it is what it is. The market just wasn’t there. Would I have preferred to have just let him expire over this return? I dunno. But I know that it’s dark days in NOLA hopefully your Drew Brees photo keeps you warm at night I guess.
this was an asset trade. maybe another big trade coming with BI, IQ and RJ in play. Best version of BI on this team is creator at the end of games. Worst version is no spacing and bad defense. all in all… better upside than other trades around the league.
At first I was really don’t liking the Ingram deal but seeing what Bobby and Masai traded for him honestly feels like a steal. Also not trading Boucher feels like a massive W in my book would really like to see him play the rest of his career here
I honestly can see Raptors being a top 5 seed in the East next season Quickley RJ Ingram Scottie Poeltl and none of them will be on a super max deal for 4+ years. This team would dominate in the East
I think the Raptors believe they can get a lot more out of B.I. Their staff are thinking to themselves look what we have just done with RJ. Look at how we moulded Pascal. I think they are rubbing their hands together at the thought of what they can do with B.I. I don’t know if they manage it, but I think the Raptors feel they can turn him more into a 27/10/7 type guy. Definitely run more schemes to get him more looks from 3, and he’ll easily grab a couple more dimes just from having Scotty getting freebies on the cut. I don’t think it’s as awkward a fit as ppl initially think

That whole the numbers were better with trey and herb on the court is cap the numbers always supported that whatever lineip BI was in was more efficient than whatever lineup Zion was in. Trey murphy played his best with BI same with Herb, Dyson,JV, Jose etc.
