  1. With or without the trade, the most important thing the Raptors can do is ensure they get a good draft pick

  2. Bruce and Kelly about to turn into allstars like double agents and push Pelicans ahead of Raptors in reverse standings lol. Ingram probably be injury managed Khawi style rest of season maybe even Quickley too. The draft pick will be 5-6 range if Raptors get some good odds or another team ahead moves down maybe they move up.

Ownership probably doesnt like whats happening revenue side and want things sped up.. they want a better product asap.

  3. I don’t think it’s a horrible deal but I also don’t think it’s ground breaking either. It cost them very little, they can finagle things with the extension to remain under the tax, it gives them a big contract that can be packaged for a star if one comes up, he’s still 27, his 3 point shooting fits what the Raptors lack, he is injured to it is unlikely to impact the placement of our pick this yr, and his injury history are mostly unrelated injuries that don’t indicate degrading of his body and we’ve got Alex McKechnie to help keep him healthy. Now on the other side, there isn’t a guarantee he resigns, we have to hope Darko can shift his play to better fit the team/improve defensively, and we have to hope that he doesn’t have some catastrophic injury.

Either way Ingram improves the team, Darko and Ingrams ego will determine how much he improves the team and it puts us in a better spot to trade for a super star if one asks for a trade (I’m looking at you Trae and Giannis).

  4. This argument that "obviously the font offices had talks" is devoid of realistic business acumen. They said the same about IQ and when the time came, he said: "I'll stay if you pay me very well." Players being loyal to money above all else is the overwhelming norm. BI will unquestionably get his 45+mil pay from the Raptors. The only question is how many years.

  5. It’s a good deal. Long as he signs we win this deal. He is really good player and he will be fine in the playoffs. Not sure how they will pay all these talented guys. Just need some defence now. I would like to keep tucker and have him play. He will teach these young guys to play hard and play defence

  6. Pascal was terrible player in the playoffs. Complete fail in the playoffs. Especially in key moments when he has free throws or easy lay ups late in the game he could never make it. Kwahi saw this and left.

  7. He's the raptors best offensive player right now immediately. He can give you 25 a night easy and hes one of the best playmaking forwards in the game. Maybe the 2nd best behind bron. It's a criminally underrated part of his game. Yes there is injury concerns. But this dude is a dog and is unguardable when he's locked in. As far as the fit being clunky. The pelicans over the summer wanted bi shooting more 3s. He shot 3.5 of them last year. This year he doubled that to 7 attempts a game making them at a 36% clip. He's MORE than capable of knocking down 3s from anywhere. I do want to point out some of the pelicans media and fan base treated him like str8 shit the last year. Un deserved too man. I think toronto is gonna get the best version of bi anyone has seen.

  8. I don’t think the raps are gonna purposely tank this year for a top 5 pick. They could’ve just signed Ingram in free agency instead of giving up anything. Also how do you think it looks to Ingram when he comes to a team that says they “believe” in him yet still feel the need to tank for a rookie?…lol doesn’t look so good. I’m sure they’ll try to win when he’s in the lineup

  9. 3:10

I total disagree with that take and the not knowing part is a fan thing rather then a front office thing, the guys who are investing time & research into prospects know.

Not knowing the potential 2026 draft is lack of knowledge on your part rather then any front offices.

Masai & Bobby know, so does every other top franchise who pay millions to gather intel/scouting.

Also get to see these prospects during workouts, interviews, media scrum and throughout the college season.

The potential 2026 draft is deep and the no.1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa would go no.1 in this current loaded draft ahead of Cooper Flagg.

AJ Bybantsa is a no.1 option, superstar talent whose an elite scorer who can do it all and franchise changing talent.

That 2026 Pacers pick they gave up for Ingram makes sense on Raptors part given its top 4 protected with the potential stars likely off the board after pick 4.

Also Pacers likely gonna be playoff team so that Pacers pick would be in an around the 20 range or higher.

  10. Once they get used to one another I don't expect the BI fit to be clunky at all. The spacing in a 5 out offense with IQ, RJ, BI, Scottie + Jak is fine. While only one of the perimeter players relies primarily on his outside shooting, none of them are guys you can just give space and not expect to be punished.

And now they can reliably have a high level creator on the floor at all times, which is a big deal.

  11. What nobody is talking about is if this team gets healthy they have a very impressive bench. They are all very young but there's a lot of talent there. You are still adding more than likely a top 6 pick and an early second round pick to a team that already has a lot of flexibility. In a short time this Raptors team has changed a lot. It's impressive and I am looking forward to the next decade. This wil be a solid NBA team for a long time. If we get Cooper Flagg then we are winning a championship for sure. Then the Lakers/NBA, will find a way to steal Flagg in order to play with Luka and win a chip.

  12. BI and Walter I'll take over Pascal long-term. Youth with Walter and scoring with BI. Ochai as well makes this a W for the Raptors.

  13. Defence can be taught with good coaching. Just look at Grady, he was terrible on D when he first arrived and has really improved this season. He is still learning so Brandon will become nothing but better in Toronto.
Next years starting 5 is looking so great plus a solid bench.
The new team has great Character, Masai's other quality he is always looking for.

  14. Raptors still lack legit point guard and center depth with an over abundance of wings – just like last season. The Raptors current roster (14 Spots Filled/1 Open Roster Spot/3 Two-Way Filled):

    CP: Poeltl/Robinson (Two-Way)/Chomche (Two-Way)

    PF: Barnes/Boucher/Mogbo/Tucker

    SF: Ingram/Dick/Battle/Lawson (Two-Way)

    SG: Barrett/Ogbaji/Walter/Temple

    PG: Quickley/Shead
