Team tank is still alive and well, as Ingrham is currently injured. I say the raptors should take their time getting ingraham back in the kineup, and keep those losses coming!:) I don’t think he’ll play any more then 5-10 games for the rest of the season, enough to see how he’ll fit into the lineup in the future.

Playing with the hopes that this year's draft will turn into Toronto automatically into a contender would be false. Take a look at Detroit. At this point you need to ask yourself whether a top 5 draft pick and Ingram would make Toronto competitive and the answer would be yes, as long as he stays healthy and the draft pick would lead to a productive player. Also a rebuild usually takes 3-5 years. Anybody here willing to wait 5 years? Ingram fyi was drafted 2nd.
Man it’s really cool to bring in Brandon. I’m excited. Hopefully he can just take it easy for the rest of the easy, we get a top 5 pick and be going full out next year and get some wins

The “overpay” comes when they resign Ingram. That contract will become an albatross.
I've always liked what Brandon Ingram brings to the table for the Pelicans and wondered if Toronto could attract such a caliber table. The fact that he recognizes that Toronto is one of best cities to play in the NBA. With Ingram playing for Toronto this team is going to leapfrog a fews teams and make it into the playoffs. This is definitely a big W I N !!!!
Only way this is an L is if he doesn’t re-sign. But I’m sure Masai did his due diligence making sure he’s at least open to re-signing this summer.

It's a win win situation. Got a star player (that's injured) and you got rid of two players, so we can still tank. So for the next season we have all the core players, a star player and a good or great draft position.
If Toronto gets Cooper Flagg that would change a lot.

I find it absurd people are questioning RJ Barrett's future with the Raps. Let's see these guys play together before we start throwing shade on a player who is giving his all wearing the Raptors jersey with immense pride, while improving his game and being a + in the locker room.

I think you are over valuing Ingram's value as a free agent. With his track record of missing big chunks of every season with injuries, he isn't going to command max money.
I woulda gave away Kelly for a bus pass and the Caesar salad. strait up same goes for RJ Barret. Not sure why im expected to be a fan because he’s Canadian. Shoulda tried to unload him. I like Ingram, I think is was just an opportunity we wouldn’t get later.
I will take some time to see if this guy can stay on the court it will be great for the youthful RAPS
