I dont think OG and Mitch would have changed the game. OG got baked by JT dropping 37 in the first meeting. The Celtics didn't have all-star, Olympic gold medalist, NBA champion and all-defense Jrue Holiday, and all-star and underrated shot blocker Kristaps Porzingis. Kristaps Porziņģis averaged 21.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 4 games versus Mitchell Robinson in 2023-24. Mitch can't guard stretch bigs. Boston killed NY by 23 and 29 triples when OG was on the floor on opening night. Cs own the Knicks even with Mitch on the floor and were 1-3 vs them with Mitch on the floor. We need a bench. Thibs needs to use Kolek, Dadiet, Huk, and Ryan a bit more. I am not going to listen to, validate, open my mind, and care about The KAT was hurt excuse when he chose to play through injuries and scored 12 points on opening night against the Cs when he was fully healthy. We were literally the worst 3-point defense with OG was playing most of the season. Mitch doesn't guard stretch 5 like that, especially KP. The reality is we aren't ready to take down Cleveland, Boston, and OKC and some Knick fans understand and agree. Some Knick fans do not understand and disagree with that. There are no ifs or buts. 0-5 vs those teams is all I need to know. Yes, we are a good team. We need more depth and Bridges, KAT, etc… need to step the F up. JB, MB, KAT, and etc.. need to play some defense. I am just a realistic Knick fan.

We ain't on the celtics level or the cavs for that matter. Let's get better work on the. Chemistry for the rest of the season then come back next season hopefully with a coach who's not stuck in the 90s.
Besides thibodeau, Leon Rose using 6 first round draft picks to trade for a ROLE PLAYER, something you have never seen in NBA History/Sports history, Ruined any chance of this Knicks team ever winning a NBA Championship…..he did so thinking that OG and mikal can actually match up defensively at least with the celtics' wings…..look how frail mikal looks standing next to Tatum and Brown….Look how big their shoulders and arms are..they can go right through bridges any time they want….bridges is not a great one on one defender, but a good help/team defender….All of the assets Scotty Perry and Steve Mills accumulated, and this dude just threw them away….Along with our chances of Winning it all…..Worse use of asset management possibly ever.
GM Leon Rose needs to draft a 6'10" power forward to counter Tatum. This loss was brutal.
We are not in the same league with the Celtics or any top team. Defense, rebounding, boxing out we lack that Fire & Desire as Clyde says. I would be worried that we don't get knocked out in the 1st round. Surprised no disappointed definitely…

The knicks are not a championship team who are we fooling our bench is terrible and small Bridges is disappointing 5 first round picks for this 11 points this team was off for 3 days 😢😢😢
The matchup against Boston isn’t good so Thibs is going to have to experiment with his defense. Stop being so predictable. Learn and adjust change it up ♟️
When's TJ Warren coming in ? You need some size and 3 PT shooting. The defense was bad but the offense doesn't scare elite teams. You need a multi-prong strategy. Open up the lane for Brunson and Towns. Bridges and Hart aren't 3PT shooters.
In big games against the bruisers from the East, you can’t help but feel that the New York Knicks are just fake tough guys. There are some ridiculous things that absolutely need to stop, like podcasts, social media posts, and pregame dances. This is nowhere near what this franchise is supposed to be.

We know already theyre better than us, no one is disputing that, this means we have to be smarter, change offensive and defensive schemes compared to usual… Our biggest struggle was the pick and roll, defense as a whole, having zero defensive presents in the paint , having to do help defense on everything, icing the everliving ** out of every single play/pic where they're targeting Kat covering no one in the middle of the paint because they know he's the worst defender on our team. So saying all that, maybe Huk should have been in for more than 40 seconds!!! I was literally screaming at the TV watching each one of these little mistakes, We were just purely outcoached… He really needs to account for our current players strengths and weaknesses And not just run the exact same playbook as if we still had iHart because we absolutely don't
