I like SGA but what SGA can do jokic can also do without even trying. SGA statline is what jokic did in early season
when needed most, but this time he did what SGA can do in just 3 quarters man. Ive seen players putting 60 and 50+ in just 3 quarters man but 3ple double in 3 quarters thats absurb and he is the only player to do that occasionally. Wtf
Joker does it all. SGA can score, just nowhere near as efficient as YOKE. Don't rob Joker AGAIN!!!!!
SGA doesn't impact the game the way Joker does. To me, he's good but nowhere near to what Jokic is doing night in night out. No disrespect to SGA.

Jokic wont care about MVP , he only care about ring. And i love that Denver keeps their key players and develop new instead of trading all the time.
Russ is a pretty good point guard after so many years of experience. But Russ is an incredible slasher and rebounder. I don’t think he has ever somebody that could pass to him like Jokic. Honestly, I think sometimes he’s just running in to crash the boards, receives the pass and capitalizes. I honestly didn’t think it would work like this because Russ has always been ball dominant and sometimes a poor decision maker. I’ve never seen him be more efficient. Or happy. Makes me happy for him.
I won't get ahead too much. As much as i love the Nuggets, i want to see how they fair against the Thunder, Timberwolves, Lakers, Mavs, Rockets, Grizzlies, Celtics, Knicks, and Cavs the rest of the season.
they do have a very average roster with a lack of depth on top of it, but they do have something no one else has that raises the level of everything else so it kind of balances out…. also, they really aren't a great team (which they could have been easily if they had a legitimate gm, not a plush toy in charge, because it takes so little to pair with nikola to be a championship team)
objectively, they have struggled with good teams because having jokic on your team makes you look way better than you actually are…denver ownership is fucking up a historic chance…. can we get him ONE SINGLE GOD DAMN other all star?… just fucking ONCE?

I believe the debate of "should we select SGA or Joker the MVP" is actually based on how we define the prize: If we define it as "Best player of the best team in the league", then it should be SGA or potentially Mitchell from CAV, but if we define it as " the player that impact his team the most" then no doubt it would be Joker. Joker made a CBA level team the 3rd Western Seed. Let that sink in a bit.

They are not that good, these recent good results is because they are facing below .500 teams. After all-star they have very scary schedules, they have to face OKC(2×), Rockets(2×), Grizzlies, Bucks, Celtics, Pistons, Warriors, Lakers(2×), Timberwolves(2×), kings(2x), Bulls. So many above .500 teams and B2B games.
Ball movement is what makes denver so good.
I still NEED to see the Nuggets beat the Timberwolves consistently. Those two teams are to my eyes for the next 5 years the two best teams in the Western Conference to beat.
He is so dominant that he’s actually screwing himself from winning the MVP. He is so dominant there’s been a dozen games when he hasn’t played a single fourth-quarter minute people still have The audacity of accusing him of stat padding.
He is top three points per game, top three in assist per game, top 2 in rebounds, top three in three-point percentages and top fourth and steals.
Shai is number 1 in pts per game and second in steals. Those are the only two categories but he is top five.
Not to mention the plus minus when he’s on and off the court is literally the best in the league.
If shai wins it’s probably because of voter fatigue, And just hate keeping him from being in the same category as LeBron of winning four MVPs.
