We Know Why The Suns Tried To Trade Kevin Durant…
Kevin Durant survived the NBA trade deadline without being traded… which a week before the deadline wouldn’t even have been in question but now that the dust has settled… we know that the Phoenix Suns had SERIOUS conversations with teams about trading away KD and had trades agreed to that wouldn’t sent him elsewhere, before he stepped in and put a stop to it… including the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, and more.

Pat Riley wasn't taking on that Bradley Beal contract 😂😂
I would've been so happy if kd was traded..
They should’ve gone to the San Antonio Spurs because the Spurs have like 100 picks over the next seven years. They have way too many first round pics that they’re not gonna use.
The Phoenix Suns just need to make it to the playoffs and hopefully Beal will be healthy. And then anything can happen.
Durant is ridiculously overrated. The ONLY time he won anything was when he joined Golden State.
If you can’t win with Kevin Durant, there’s absolutely nobody else in the NBA that you can trade for, that’s going to change that.
I swear to God if this is clickbait I'm going to stop by your channel and report it as spam and fake news for the rest of the month
Wizards are a poverty organization thats why they gave Beal a no trade clause
that is the difference between Luka and KD – he became the chance to speak up
Wasn't Jimmy supposed to team up Curry and Wiggins?
This guy makes great content. And I rarely say that about any content creator.

Damn even the Suns don't want KD no more😂
2026 KD to OKC
As a Kings fan, knowing they have those guys and we're just as good? I'm good with where we are 😂 Perspectives man, perspectives.
You should go back in time and listen to everything said about the Suns when KD came over (This includes the new ownership). 😂
How did Durant veto a trade if he doesn't have a no trade clause
I guess I shouldn't be shocked at the Suns being worried about KD bolting when his contract expires. They don't seem to be the sharpest people out there. If I'm running that team, I'm moving both Booker and KD in the offseason for as many assets as I can grab. Let Beal stew while he plays with a bunch of rookies and scrubs until he wants out and then ship him off. A clean slate will be painful at first, but this current experiment isn't working nor will it ever.
I wonder what it would be like if Kevin Durant stayed in GSW. Curry probably would have had 6 rings by now. The fact he has not won since he left GSW just makes the "he couldn't win without Steph" narrative stronger each year.
EDIT: If he stayed GSW and kept winning championship, people would have moved on about him joining a 73-win team.
Players should not be able to dictate what teams they wanna go to if they are already under contract with their team. This "Giving a list" or "veto power" thing seems shady and dishonest to a contract they already put pen to paper to.
Booker, Beal, and Butler makes more sense to me.
Butler is way more capable of taking a back seat offensively and is a huge upgrade defensively.
Obviously the Suns made a bad decision taking on Beal. Incredibly weird given it was common thought that his contract was the worst in the league before the ink had a chance to dry, and with little hope of getting better even as salary’s increase.
However, if Durant was the only party that said no to the proposed trade that’s being reported that is quite possibly just as bad.
Butler, Kuminga, Valanciunas, 2x 1sts, 2x 2nds, plus pick swaps is one helluva return for an aging superstar.
I understand that teams feel a requirement to do their superstar players right, but man this was a great out.
If the Warriors got nervous as a result of the No – it is still worth the gamble.
I don't blame Beal that much. Why should he waive his no trade clause and let the Suns send him away to a crappy team to waste away the rest of his career when it's THEIR fault that they're in this mess? He also didn't put a gun to Tommy Sheppard's head and make him cough up that $251 million. I'm not saying that Beal is blameless because he could be a bit better than he is. However, he has been the scapegoat for their stupidity since he got to Phoenix.
Beal is overrated
KD may be the most overrated and underwhelming superstar of all time. He has lost the ability to be the man on his own team. He is weak mentally as the man. He has the most empty superstar stats of the last decade.
It is unfortunate Durant refused GS as many times as he has won championships with them
Beal is like the red headed step child who owns your house.
What will Beal's future look like after this contract?
China or vet minimum.
You can understand the beal trade the nurkic trade was just beyond a joke.
Suns trading for Beal was so dumb that I'm not shocked they might not gonna even make the play-in. What I am suprised is Booker not requesting a trade from this sorry franchise.
Why don't more players ask for no trade clause?
Sounds like phoenix dont know what in the hell they want
trading for Bradley Beal was dumb in the first place.
my prediction: kd will be a spur next year
