I Just Watched Jimmy Butler’s Warriors DEBUT…

Jimmy Butler just made his debut in a Warriors win against the Bulls and it became IMMEDIATELY clear that he is going to be a massive upgrade for Golden State.

  1. Bulls suck, need to see more games. But this should work out. Spacing now with Post so Jimmy can just drive or do mid range. And for him not practicing at all is kinda crazy.

  2. You people went from "Butler is too old" to "Butler is so good with Steph" in a heartbeat. I'm starting to doubt if you know basketball or you're just a bitcoin speculator. The only reason Pat Riley does not want to pay him is he wants a younger go-to guy, NOT because Butler's not good. This is Jimmy Buckets we're talking about. The guy who willed the 2022-23 Heat team from the play-in to the NBA finals with just Adebayo, an aging Lowry, and a bunch of over-achieving bench players all without Herro. He also lead the 2021-22 Heat team from the top seed to the ECF, just losing to the Celts on Game 7. And if he didn't get hurt in the 2023-24, he would have lead the Heat again to the playoffs. There is a reason why Giannis and the Bucks haven't reached the ECF for the past few years and it's because of Jimmy. This is the guy who has been battling Giannis, Embiid, Bronson, Tatum, Brown, Young in the recent playoffs. Have you all forgotten? That's just 3-4 years ago, or just like I said, you people just don't have a clue what you're saying.

  3. If he's motivated and healthy (both big if's), Butler fills in a lot of things for the Warriors. Solid defender, good passer, smart player, someone you have to game plan around or he'll destroy you, someone who drives the hoop a lot, and someone who gets to the foul line a lot. I don't know if Butler makes them true title contenders, but nobody wants to play the Warriors in a playoff series now because they're dangerous as hell.

  4. An amazing start–but this was the Bulls… When i see them dismantle the Lakers I will be a believer witn both teams at full strength

  5. You lost me in the first two minutes because Draymond has been more effective, offensively the last two season than he has been in the previous five years.

  6. I understand ppl disliking Draymond because of the antics….. apart from that he's central to their offense and defense. If y'all are GSW/basketball fans, this would be obvious.

  7. You should have watched the last few months of Jimmy's tenure in Miami. It is very telling of what will happen after this honeymoon stage with the Warriors.

  8. I wanna see them play against a team that isn’t actively tanking the season before giving a proper grade on the pairing with Jimmy.

  9. Part-Time Jimmy with a Warriors whistle, damn, he's gonna give autism reaves and Shai Freethrows-Alexander a run for the title of biggest foul baiter

  10. I know GS runs a hybrid "triangle offense" they absolulty need to run .ore triangle offense plays with jimmy in the post. And curry in thr D-fish roll.

  11. Jimmy Baller!!! It's all the little things that Jimmy does that never gets mentioned! For example, Jimmy fights for positioning and rebounding before every shot goes up. Kuminga can learn a thing or two because they're pretty much the same size. That's the difference between a max player and a mid player. Kuminga with his youth, size, and athleticism should easily average close to 10 rebounds a game. Better study Jimmy closely, Kuminga. Same goes for Wi…

  12. Buttler also gets a lot of offensive rebounds, he got it in this game and scored a point, we can also see him going for the rebound when the team attacks and many times he was ready but the shot was right, so if they had made a mistake he would have been there potentially catching it and also making the attack lose speed

  13. They exchanged wiggins for a player … draymond cant play like .. if draymond had the offensive ability they wouldnt of needed butler …… draymond does nothing but learned to screen currys man and pass it over to him for the shot

  14. Jimmy has always wanted to be on a contending team and get paid. As long as those conditions are met, he always performs. This is the most underrated trade this year.

  15. Jimmy Butler always reminded me of Kawhi, physically so strong, great defender. Different games, but so good in playoffs.

  16. Getting to the free throw also gets the defense set and thats Huge for a team that been bad in transistion defense

  17. Dont expect this effort every game. Warriors just paid him 2 years but will get half of that worth

  18. Jimmy is so underrated. More steals than turnovers in is career is absolutely insane.

  19. A player I'd love us to get on the buyout market is Marcus Smart, imagine Jimmy, Smart & Dray bullying and harassing everyone on the floor

    Golden State Warriors:
    PG: Steph Curry
    SG: Marcus Smart
    SF: Jimmy Butler
    PF: Draymond Green
    C: Quinten Post

    Young Bench:
    SG: Brandin Podziemski
    SF: Moses Moody
    PF: Jonathan Kuminga
    C: Trayce Jackson-Davis

    Veteran Bench:
    SF: Buddy Hield
    PF: Gui Santos

    Expiring Contracts:
    G: Gary Payton II
    C: Kevon Loony

    Two-Way Contracts:
    G: Pat Spencer
    F: Jackson Rowe

  20. Something few other have mentioned is how this likely extends Steph's run. KD and LeBron have been playing with significantly better co-stars these last several years, and as a result, have aged more gracefully. It looked like Steph was gonna retire before LeBron if they kept losing at this rate.

  21. You guys really consider the thought that going from Wiggins to Butler won’t be an upgrade 😂😂🫵. I mean a guy who got his team to the finals won’t be of help to curry who is ALWAYS trying to carry his team . It is obvious that he will take some pressure off of Curry’s shoulders and that they will share the responsibility of carrying the team
